"When i went to school there it was one of the best school ever , good teachers, a very good principle, the teachers we had were excellent, i learn a lot back then, its embarrassing to hear that they have failed, we need to work together, the teachers, the parents, an students to make sure that our kids get the best education in the world !!!"
"Bethune Elementary School is a failed school in all areas of operations. APS use of the 2013-2014 principal was an act of cheating the kids in the service area out of an entire year of education that I know firsthand and other parents indicates the same was done for the 2012-2013 school year. It is very appalling that APS continues to place ill qualified leadership and teachers in APS inner-city schools, which disenfranchise the community further. I believe all children that attended Bethune are deserves intense and remedial intervention to compensate for some of what was lost. APS has to learn that they receive federal, state, and taxpayer's local dollars to educate children and not guarantee ill qualified principal and teachers job careers. Perhaps APS should try to equalize its dual school system by borrowing half of the resources (people & programs) from their better schools to place in its failing schools. By balancing the schools then maybe all of APS schools would have a chance to excel. All parents want great schools and a quality education for their children. Therefore, APS need to stop treating inner-city parents and children like they do not deserve the same quality, and respectful interactions and services as other parents and children."
