"Doctor Koukis and Ginger Bennett are life savers! Very personable but professional!!! Love them both!! Highly recommended!!"
"Ginger is very sweet and caring, but Dr. Koukis is incredibly rude and condensing. Completely wrote off my complaints and my pain and had horrible bedside manner."
"***Long Review**** I followed Dr. Koukis from the Convenient Care in Moultrie…I live in Albany and I liked her just that much to drive there, just to be a patient of hers. I suffered some trauma in the past and driving anxiety got the best of me for some time…so I missed a few appointments and I had not visited the office for about 2 years or so. I recently had an issue that became chronic since March of this year. After going to the ER at least once a month and seeing a local MD for pelvic pain I knew I needed to make an appointment to see what was going on. My visit didn’t seem the same (she wasn’t as friendly), but I ignored what was making me question the vibe because I needed to figure out what was going on. We decided to go with a hysterectomy and it seemed like that was the only option. Fast forward…I was afraid to have the surgery, I was still in pain, taking OTC meds everyday!! I was ordered to have some imaging done…and was told it could be this or that. I was treated for a diagnosis that was totally different, but could have been the issue, it seemed to help, but the pain returned. During this process I provided medical records of previous care that was provided by the hospital and a different office locally and was told what it sounds like the issue is. I was told that surgery would be the best option. I get on the schedule and chickened out. I didn’t know much about it or what to expect. That was never discussed. I made a televisit (I was advised I had to make an appointment to discuss questions about a surgery that I was previously scheduled for) and was billed for a 5-10 minute call. I explained that I didn’t realize how long I would be out of work, etc. and was told by Dr. Koukis that we were going to discuss that 2 days prior to the surgery?? at the Preop appointment….but I didn’t give up. I hung in there with this facility because I trusted her. I was told that in order for me to get rescheduled I needed to be seen…again. So another appointment was made. We discussed my concerns AGAIN and I was given an option that I felt should have been offered in the beginning, but ok. I was told before I get rescheduled let’s have a 2nd imaging done and do a follow up appointment (another appointment) a week after that. I was asked to drive to Moultrie to have this done because of the Dr.’s preference. I didn’t complain…(keep in mind I’m missing time from work). When I left to have the imaging done, I called the office to see if Dr. Koukis could write a doctors note stating her prognosis and that I was being treated at her facility; I had been missing time from work. I was asked how many days…I advised them that I miss at least 10 days a month from work, whether full days or partial days. I told the staff I just need something starting that I am being treated. I received a callback and the staff told me Dr. Koukis said no. I asked the reason and the staff told me she was not given one. She said I can get a doctors excuse for 3 days. I then asked to be called back or if she doesn’t want to that was fine as well. I would just look for another GYN. At this point I’m livid. She did not return my call. No one called about my imaging results and I was told at imaging they would be sent the next morning; it has almost been a week! I was received a call from the office today asking if I was coming to ANOTHER appointment and I told them I would not. I am very frustrated and saddened that for one I have to find another doctor and build trust again and that my issue is still not resolved. If had to say anything good about all of this…Mrs. Ginger kept me hopeful. She called me to give me results while she was at home. She answered my text messages…she’s awesome! Love her! I don’t know if there was some miscommunication with the staff, or if someone was having a bad day, but my health is so important right now, it’s not my priority to figure that out. I am only doing this review because no one has called me about my recent imaging results. That was the icing on the cake for me."
"She is the most gentle and true doctor of her kind. She took such care of me after my surgery. Called me multiple times to check on me. 10/10 recommend. She truly cares!"
