Jackson County Health Department

"Before I went to the facility, I thought I would check the reviews to see what I was in for. Some (reviews ) were critical and a few were downright mean. I had to schedule a water test for the V.A. and it has to be done by an official of the health department. I arrived at the front desk and was greeted by a very pleasant young lady who directed me to Environmental Health. So far, so good. No ambushes, no unfriendly faces. I met another young lady who was relatively new to the job, but she handled things like a pro. She called a young man for assistance and the two of them had me taken care of in short order. I left the Jackson County Health Department feeling satisfied and pleased to have met employees there who cared about helping a fellow Jackson County resident."

"JCHD yall really need to revise your "late" policy. Understand that between 7:30-8:00 a.m. the area from hwy 71-Caverns Rd & Russell Rd is congested & you cant even turn into Russel Road you have to go all the way around by the fire station or keep straight on Caverns. Be mindful that it's the community that keeps your doors open & during a national health crisis you turn patients around because they're late given the circumstances I mentioned. Thank God for primary health providers. Folks get you some insurance & a primary provider these county & community based facilities are so condescending & feel they are entitled especially the Secretary Mrs. Linda Ford. No empathy or customer relations skills. She needs to be in the back office & not addressing the public at all."

"Nice staff but they drew blood and lost it. It never made it to labcorp. I definitely will not utilize their lab services again. Update March 2nd. I got a notification from Labcorp stating my one lab was ready for review all though about 2 to 3 tubes of blood were taken. So amazingly from 2/14 to 3 /2 one lab appears."

"I've order my son's birth certificate 6 months ago and haven't received it yet. I paid $43.00 I've called and email them nothing happen. I lost my money and never received the Birth certificate."
