"I give zero stars for the non treatment I received from Leland McCluskey, Brooke Jones, NP and Bobbi Farber at St Francis. I fell down stairs January 12th I wound up in the ER Piedmont I don't know all of the protocols however all I know is that I had an aircast placed on by Dr Ricci who was in the hospital when I had my emergency I was told that I had to follow up with him at Hughston clinic for a courtesy follow up since he placed a cast on my foot. In doing so as instructed I found out that they were not in network for me at the time of my follow-up with Dr Ricci not only did he speak great things about Dr McCluskey he actually sent over my records I actually took over a hard copy of my records so that I can get treatment from an in-network provider. Ashley was very nice to me the scheduler her supervisor Jenny was very nice to me this was out of their control however I was told that my records were reviewed and "Dr McCluskey has denied to see me or treat me because I've had treatment elsewhere." Miss Brooke Jones nurse practitioner felt uncomfortable seeing me because I had treatment elsewhere. Dr Farber would not take me on apparently she does not take care of the part of the body that I was hurt on so I understood that. What I don't understand is how can you be in my network accept my insurance and still refuse to see me because I had to be treated at the ER I had to follow protocol to see Dr Ricci who then in turn sent the referral to you so that you could treat me if further treatment was needed. How can you reject a patient just because they had to have treatment somewhere else you have the records you know why I had to have treatment somewhere else. How do you make that make sense I know that the doctors are not obligated to take you on I know they have the right to say no and I respect that what I don't respect is you're in the network for my insurance you wouldn't even take on a basic office follow up visit that probably only needed just to look at the foot maybe an x-ray at the most to see that I was healing properly it couldn't have been that much treatment I've had the air cast on for one month but again it is what it is I felt like I needed to put my review in. Because as I was told today if you have previous injuries and treatment and they find out that they still refuse treatment I just happened to tell them the truth upfront that I was in the hospital and the hospital had me go follow up with Dr Ricci and I was referred to them because they're in my network and I was refused treatment. So definitely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Ashley and Jenny who were very kind with the information they provided. However again zero Stars for the providers who could have possibly treated me and refused. Must do better by patients!!!"
"Dr. Farber was my surgeon who operated on my wrist after I had a fall while playing a sport. She performed the operation nicely. Dr. Farber has a very kind personality and was open to questions before the surgery and with each appointment, explaining for me to understand. I appreciated that she did not seem hurried to leave for her next patient but instead answered my questions during my visit. I also appreciate that the Orthopedic Physicians work as a team by utilizing the specialty of other physicians. Thank you Dr. Farber, and staff ,for your care. I truly appreciate it."
"Dr McCluskey is fantastic, and I have great confidence in him. Everyone we came in contact with in the office was very nice. But we waited well over an hour to be seen. Maybe he was just running late, but no one said anything to us. Or maybe he was just overbooked. Ill give 5 stars for the doctor, 4 stars for his staff, but only 3 stars for the timeliness of being seen."
"I had to have shoulder replacement surgery. Dr Jake Dunn performed it. He is awesome! He fit me in the day after my family doctor called him. He always spends as much time as I need with me and never makes me feel rushed. He is very caring. The surgery itself went great. The surgical nurses praised him to me and my physical therapist has nothing but nice things to say about him. They say he is a perfectionist when it comes to his surgeries. I would highly recommend him."
"I would like to leave a review for Dr. Blake and his team. I brought my grandfather in for an appointment and everything was great from the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out. My grandfather was first examined by the PA Johnathan, he took his time and actually listened to the patients needs/concerns. Dr. Blake previously treated my grandfather for a different injury many years ago, so when Dr. Blake came into the room and remembered my grandfather, remembered his injury; that made my grandfather feel so special and important to be remembered. Dr. Blake reviewed his x-rays and explained to my grandfather what all he was looking at/broke the big medical words down to him so he could understand a little better. His injury was treated, he left happy and pleased. I must say, whenever you're coming to an appointment please do not be on a time crunch, Dr. Blake and his staff are going to give you a very thorough examine, make sure you're taking care of, and make sure you understand what is going on with your body. This is something that cannot be rushed. Thank you to ALL of the hand team for your compassion, time, and patience. Thank you to the women who made his appointment, checked him in for his appointment, and to who checked him out of his appointment. Everyone deserves to be recognized. In a nice way, I hope that we will not have to see you again for these type of circumstances but if so, you're the ones we trust. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
