"Horrible experience! I hired a doula from this company back in early 2018 for my first pregnancy. My doula, Katie, did not show up until I was ready to push. We let her know as soon as I arrived at the hospital and told her via phone we wanted her there. My husband repeatedly texted her (texting is her preference) letting her know I wasn't doing well (prior to him passing out). She didn't show up until HOURS later when I was ready to push. I let her know how upset I was and she just hung her head saying " do you want me to leave?" I told her to do whatever she wanted. She chose to stay and gossip with the nurses while offering me no real support. My husband is military and I'm from another country. I don't know anyone here. I hired a doula so I wouldn't be alone if my husband passed out(which he did). This experience has left me traumatized. After we put down a $300 deposit we had 2 meetings with her. One of the conversations about her previous client was highly unprofessional. She was very judgemental about her birth plan. She went into details about the labor and let us know she thought it was " gross" because the woman was naked and had her stepdad in the delivery room. I should have known then that she wasn't the right doula for us. We were paying her for this time and she chose to gossip about clients with us. I requested a refund of my $700. Katie refused even though she broke the contract. She also offered no post care even though her contract said that it was included. She's a wolf in sheeps clothing. Stay away. I highly suggest finding another Doula if you actually want her to show up."
"Horrible experience. Katie broke the contract by not showing up when my wife arrived at the hospital and refused to reimburse us. This experience has left my wife traumatized. We're military and don't know anyone here. We really wish we would have went with a different company. My wife was alone during active labor and this was our first child."
