Peachford Hospital

"My brother was a patient here and received no sympathy and no real treatment. The nurses laughed in his face when he told them he was struggling. He physically saw an individual self harm while the nurses laughed at the individual. These nurses and doctors are clearly poorly trained and have no people skills and show no sympathy for individuals who really need help. I think this place needs to be shut down and these nurses deserve to lose their job. Peachford sucks."

"Among many other terrible things, the staff were by far the worst. At one point I was on the floor crying from a severe panic attack and a staff made fun of me for "throwing a tantrum". Absolutely abysmal— maybe don't hire people who don't understand mental health and hate children next time."

"I was at peachford about 4 yrs ago. I must say any place you can not leave on your on is bad. However, I was the reason I was there. The food was great and it was not a horrible experience. I enjoyed our group time and lucky for me my room mate was okay. I stayed about 2 weeks and do not have anything negative to say. I wish my mo. Was here instead of summit ridge."

"The doctors at this facility are horrible. Do not properly communicate, and have no sympathy for the patients that they serve nor the families. The fact that the State of Georgia allows this facility to stay open is horrific! They will intentionally keep someone here( For numerous days as they continue to build your insurance ) with no communication with the doctors no communication on the status of the treatment!! If you are looking at this review, I was strongly advise you to PLEASE do your own research and you will see that these reviews are for real. This is a horrible facility and you should not allow them if you can to place your loved one in this facility. I’m extremely disappointed at the referral we received the place my niece in this facility!!! I have worked in social service and human service for over 20 years and I’m going to save this. Keep your loved one out of this facility!!!!! The only reason why I gave it a one star is because you have to select a star!! UPDATE: I see your generic response to me, and it will not allow me to reply. We have already done that and still no one has contacted us…. I see that you have provided the same generic response to everybody on this review. If you see this review, I will strongly recommend that you contacted Georgia state medical board to file a complaint and that you make sure you document everyone you talk to ,when you talk to them ,and what the outcome was .when we were there to pick up my niece, there were several other parents who had the same issue -no communication & the facility was given their children medication without their permission or authority and they didn’t even have any type of treatment plan on how to diagnose or help these children with their mental issues . But they made sure to regularly bill the insurance companies!!"

"I wish I can give this place zero stars my daughter is currently there. They have made no effort to try and find out why she keeps trying to warm herself. They just pumping her full of pills. I did not want my daughter at this facility, but the hospital released her to them anyway. They are not trying to help her and I personally feel they are keeping her extra days to milk her insurance for more money….."
