"I am usually seen on time when I attend appointments for my prenatal care (with the exception of a few visits where I was waiting in the waiting room for over 15 minutes). Most of the providers are really great, especially Dr. Harmon. She is so friendly, patient, and is amazing at communicating with me. My biggest area of feedback would be around Dr. Counihan. She was condescending during my visit, essentially making it seem as if my pre-natal care was not a priority for me simply because I willingly chose to be seen a week later for something that I am aware of the risks for delaying. I do not understand why it is okay to delay visits when the practice does not even have the openings in order for me to be seen within certain weeks, but when I choose to schedule a visit around what works best for me, it seems to be a real issue. As a paying customer, I really do not understand why some providers feel entitled to speak to their patients in any unfriendly and dismissive manner. After my care concludes at this practice, I will not be recommending it or returning here for future needs, unless I know I will only be working with Dr. Harmon."
"Dr. Sheena Harmon has been my OB for a few years, and I have had nothing shy of an absolutely amazing experience with her. She is well-researched, yet wildly compassionate and relatable. Despite an unfortunate turn of events during my labor, she held it together, kept me safe, worked quickly, and ensured our baby was safe and sound with us. I wish I could give her 10 stars. I've referred all of my friends and loved ones to her. She is one of the best providers I've had!"
"Front office staff: 5 stars Cleanliness: 5 stars Medical assistants: 5 stars Nurses: I'm not sure I've met any, but maybe I have. It's hard to know who is a medical assistant and who is a nurse. Ultrasound techs: 3 stars for one, 5 stars for the other. One of them does not like to insert the probe, she wants you to do it. Kind of hard, unless you have really long arms. I've not had a tech ask me to do that, ever, until I came here. But, it's only one of them. The other tech is good. Lab: 5 stars Doctors: 3 stars. I have not seen them wash their hands when they enter and exit the room. I feel this is unsettling. I have seen the use of hand sanitizer, but with such intimate exams, I would prefer to see hand washing for 25 seconds upon entry and exit. They try to be thorough. They try to find out what's going on with you. They make proper referrals. The reason for the 3 stars is, it is very important to listen to the patient. If she says she does not want a procedure, or an exam, don't talk her into what she just said she does not want. Just explain the risks, benefits, opportunities, and threats. After that, just do what she asks. Don't demand she tell you why. No, means, no. You have to understand that we are not in a position to negotiate when our clothes are off. That is an inherent imbalance of power. People "replay" the "tapes" from unwanted exams. (meaning revisit the unwanted exams over and over) Don't put them through this. I clearly said I didn't want a thing, but I was not heard. Ladies, just take someone with you during your exam, like family or mate. Clearly, you may benefit from someone being there to fight for you."
"Dr. Sheena Harmon, has got to be, hands down, the kindest, most empathetic gynecologist I've ever had. She patiently listens, and provides such excellent, caring advice. I trust her completely and and would recommend any patient, family, or friend to her. I had a wonderful experience under her care, and both she and her staff treated me very well."
"Just saw Dr. Matthew and I always have great visits with her. I can tell she cares and I haven’t seen her in years prior to this appointment and she covered all my concerns and plans that she has for me. The office staff is very welcoming, helpful and they all speak so calmly, I love it. Eases my nerves lol! My appointment was quick but covered everything I needed and more!!! Love them!!!"
