"I transferred from Chattanooga to Rome almost 3 years ago. On my first visit with Linda Nwadike NP, I realized that I had made a mistake. She flat refused to refer me to specialists with whom I had a past history. She even changed prescription dosages on a whim, with no regard for the reason for the original dosage. That was my last visit until today. Unfortunately, she did exactly the same once again. When I showed her the paperwork to verify my need for referrals, she said she didn't have time, but I could see her again in 9 months. I don't know about the other actual doctors there, but this nurse practitioner doesn't care if you live or die. On the other hand, the nurses were very friendly and attentive."
"I have actually had a pretty good experience over all with this VA Clinic. My doctors have changed over time but they have all tried to address my concerns & issues, usually in a pretty timely manner."
"Don’t come here. They have terrible communication throughout the whole place and acknowledge it but don’t fix it. They are known to place new patients under doctors not working there anymore when you first get out and then forget about you. They’re bad at answering phones. They cancel on you and you’re better off finding another VA (it’s hard the VA is just that bad all around I’ve come to figure out) and saving up for better insurance to actually see doctors who care about helping you. I was supposed to get continuous care getting out it’s been 2 years of me being out being told I need to put it in writing which I’ve dropped my documents off so many times for it to get lost and not submitted months down the line. If you need actual help for physical health this place is a sad joke but sometimes you have no other option so just be prepared for that if you’re like me no other options you’ll probably die before receiving any care you actually need. They train us not to take excuses well that’s all the VA is with because there’s so many of us. They wouldn’t be so behind if they actually did their jobs instead of laziness and better communicated between themselves"
"Great 1st experience at this location! Was a little anxious after reading the bad reviews (some pretty Old) and from word of mouth but I had no issues at all! Arrived for labs at 7:50 and literally was all finished by 8:05! All of the staff from time of check in to getting my labs done were super friendly and accommodating! AAA+++"
"The VA clinic in Rome GA, needs a new staff. I went there to simply do labs. The phlebotomist was the only person who was nice and had the ability to have a conversation. The rest of staff needs to be fired. The lady at the door had Zero personality or customer friendliness and when I asked about the travel pay (since the kiosks were down), she acted like I was asking for her to pay me out of her pocket. I just left it alone and won't even bother with that money. I only had to drive 40 miles one way for mandatory labs and was supposed to have an appointment at the same time but it was cancelled an hour before that because the Dr took the Friday off. That was fine, only had it scheduled for a couple months. There were a couple of people up at the service counter that I approached and neither of them even wanted to make eye contact with me to acknowledge I was there. So I just left and the lady that watches the door just looked at me as I passed her as if she was making sure I wasn't stealing anything. I'm a traveling Vet and I frequent many VA clinics. This by far was the worst I've ever been to. My wife and I are both Disabled Vets and I'm a retired Vet. She was treated 100 times worse at this clinic. Why can't the Georgia VA be more like the VA in Minneapolis and western Wisconsin? Those are the best. Orlando and many FL VA's are better as well. I wish it didn't take an act of Congress to get rid of Government employees that don't want to do their job. I love going to a clinic for Veterans and being fully disabled to get medical for damages to my body from multiple trips to Iraq and the people that work there are aggravated that you are there. At least the place was clean."
