"Erica Call wasn't LGBT friendly. She kept asking me a bunch of questions about me being trans and why, which wasn't why I was there. She also does not listen well. She prescribed me medication that interacted negatively with another supplement I directly told her I was taking. Do not get your mental health evaluation here. She doesn't listen to a word you say."
"I have always been treated with kindness and professional help. Everyone tries hard to answer all of your questions. Dr. Strickland and Linda Hoffman saved me from having a stroke. The last time I was in there, they sent me to the hospital immediately because my heart rate was almost 180. They even called to check on me. I never had a doctor to do that before! They always go the extra mile to make you feel special and I believe that they really care about all of their patients. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are wonderful!!!"
"My wife and I had gone thru hard times at one point and she needed to get a refill on her medication but they refused to write a prescription for her high blood pressure meds, They wouldn't until we spent a fortune for a new appointment. We have been his patience for years and Childs knew she needed the meds to keep her from having a stroke or heart attack but he still refused to fill it without seeing her first. She wound up having a stroke and lost her eye site in her left eye forever. He never even thought about it twice. She did go back to see him after she started receiving SSI. She hates needles and most of the time passes out after getting her blood drawn. We told them about her problem and that she needed to be lying down while they did the procedure. They had her lie down on a table and after they took her blood, we went to check out. She fainted while standing there waiting on the secretary to do her job and I had to get her laid down on the floor to keep her from falling hard on the floor. After I got her laid down, I had to holler at the staff to help me, I needed a cold wet rag to wipe her face off to get her to come to, also asked for a glass of cold water which they finally brought me. The rag was warm along with the water which really made me upset. Then none of the doctors ever came out to check on her including Dr Childs or the staff. They just sat at their desk and ignored what was happening. They did wind up calling an ambulance which was all they did. The EMT's did a great job with her and I really was thankful to finally get help. They put her onto a gurney and took her out to the ambulance and checked her out. We had gotten a ride thru help from the county but after she had passed out, they refused to take us home so we were stuck at Childs office with no way home. The EMT's actually gave us a ride home that day but after that, we decided to find her a new PCP and quit Dr Childs and his uncaring staff. Do NOT go to Dr Childs - go anywhere else- They have no compassion there and are just in it for the $$. The staff should all be fired and the Dr,s made to resign. Now My wife is in good hands at Harbin Clinic thank God!!"
"I have been a patient of Dr Childs for 40 plus years. He is the best! Unfortunately I am now listed as a new patient and he is not accepting new patients. I had not seen him for 5 years and was upset that I could not go to my friend in my time of need. I have to believe that he and his staff are doing everything they can to protect this amazing man from himself. I was told he was fixing to go out to address his own issues. Sometimes hard decisions need to be made and I know that he is not purposely shunning his patients. I hope all turns out well for you my friend and I hope I find a Dr who cares as you have all these years. I will miss you!"
"Dr. Child's used to be a good doctor until his office was changed over years ago. I was dismissed from his care with no explanation and was hospitalized soon after because I had no doctor keeping an eye on my health issues. I had seen Dr Child's for many years and would have never thought that I would be treated in this manner."
