"It took calling two dozen doctors to find one that would take a new patient same day and I am tremendously grateful! Dr Henderson is a blessing straight from the hand of God! After spending the holidays in and out of the ER and immediate care, he was able to offer two treatment options to solve my issues. Though I was a little terrified when it came to the first option, he gave a thorough explanation as he worked and it provided great comfort. 10/10 would recommend him to any and everyone needing a doctor who actually listens and believes you! I’ve never felt so well listened to."
"My regular Atrium Floyd Healthcare Doctor had no more available same day sick appointments yesterday and I felt awful with fluid in my ears and some overall viral junk going around. They referred me to this clinic and even scheduled the appt on my behalf. Shortly thereafter, a nurse from that clinic called to phone triage me and expressed genuine concern over my health and well-being. She even advised me to keep pushing fluids, take tylenol or ibuprofen as needed and to stand up slowly to avoid any dizziness. This was highly impressive and much appreciated. When I arrived at the Residency Clinic, the front office staff were very sweet, concerned and efficient and prompt at getting me registered and signed in. No lengthy, ridiculous packet of paperwork to complete (which is stressful for someone with the complicated health history that I have, with 8 major surgeries and probably 20 inpatient hospital stays!). I cannot tell you how much I appreciated that! (Apparently, they were able to obtain that in the Atrium Floyd records). I was called back quickly, probably within 15 minutes, and triaged, weight, height, vitals, depression scale and traditional safety questions asked, by a nurse. A Licensed Practical Nurse , not a Medical Assistant , and I was seen, evaluated and medically treated by a Physician. A Medical Doctor, not a PA or NP. I cannot tell you just how those things along, how much that mightily impressed me, for in this day of age, that in and of itself, is becoming mighty rare indeed! The physician who treated me was Dr. Jordan Grizzle and I really liked him immediately, from the time he walked in the door. First of all, he had a smile that literally lit up the entire room! Yes, despite seeing sick people all day, he had foregone the mask to share that smile and put his patients at ease! He had an amazing, calming presence about him that was truly helpful for someone who tends to be a tad anxious at medical facilities. I have had so many health issues over the years, my blood pressure and heart rate tends to accelerate and I grow increasingly stressed. I have to also add that, for the first time in awhile, I actually had a Medical professional touch me, appropriately and professionally and give a proper exam. My family and I joke that, to us, it seems like post Covid, nearly every Medical professional is afraid to touch you. It's like they are afraid of Cooties , we laugh and say . However, I can almost understand, but truly for some illness, a Dr must actually be little more hands on, to properly diagnose the patient. (For example, how can a Dr honestly report that my chest sounded clear, when he never even put a stethoscope to my chest at all?, yet I've read that in ER reports?) Every single person that we came in contact with at this clinic, treated us with the upmost respect, proper care and compassion. Dr. Grizzle asked me if I was just an overflow patient being sent here by my regular Atrium PCP because my regular clinic was full today or would I be returning as a regular patient of theirs. I responded with Yes and Maybe. After all, this clinic was so very pleasant, every staff member cordial, polite and helpful as well as obviously skilled, and the facilities were very nice, we just might move our entire families' health records over here! Loved Dr. Grizzle and loved this staff! Thank you so much for working me in and seeing me lightning quick too!!! When I checked out, staff were equally nice and said nothing further needed from me. So glad my insurance is treated here the same as my regular Atrium Floyd Healthcare provided. 100%with no copay required from me. Plus , a rep has already phoned me today with a post visit follow up call, checking up on me! Who does that anymore!? Atrium Health Floyd Residency does obviously! God Bless you all and may you have a happy, healthy, safe and prosperous 2024!!!"
"Don’t let them do any type of lab work or you will pay the consequences. You will be billed for hospital charges even though you never stepped foot in the actual hospital. Atrium Health has caused nothing but problems for me and also other Rome, Ga residents. They are nothing but a blood sucking company. I will never go back and wish they would leave this town for good. Have a good day and god bless you."
