"Had an appt for a PET scan on 10/4. Despite having had the appt for 10 days, they waited until 4:30pm on 10/3 to verify my insurance and were unable to do so. They called me pushing to reschedule. I said no, that I would handle it (basically do their job). Then at 6:15 pm, they call me again to give me pre-exam instructions, including what I should eat for dinner. They literally called me after dinner to tell me what I should eat for dinner. I had the authorization by 11am the next morning but they had already rescheduled me for 10/16. At 6:00 pm on 10/12 they call me to reschedule again putting me off until 10/23. I have lung cancer and need this scan to move forward with my treatment. Update: I spoke with Ms. Jeffcoat and her admitting that my initial appt should not have been canceled and apologizing did absolutely nothing to correct the situation. Furthermore, her staff blamed my PCP's office which simply does not ring true since it only took me one call to get the visit authorized. Going forward, I will be asking my care team to not schedule anything at St. Francis unless there is no other option. It's sad that the medical team's reputation is being tarnished by a support staff that cannot or will not do their job."
