"First time dining here & the food was great! I got something the owner said he could make for me that wasn't even on the menu. It was fried up cauliflower to resemble "wings" with hot sauce. I chose rice and gravy and mac and cheese as my two sides. My fiance got the kalebone burger with onion rings. Carrot cake for dessert. Very friendly and quick service with very reasonable prices."
"I came here for the 1st time & ordered the BBQ Kalebone Twists entree with greens, cornbread & sweet potatoes. The BBQ Kalebone was a very interesting texture, I expected a more crispy skin I suppose. I cannot tell if the entire entrée was already cold or the barbecue sauce that they put over it was cold. The greens & sweet potatoes were perfect. The cornbread is not sweet at all (if that’s your preference) and I wasn’t a complete fan of the crumbly almost dry texture. Overall, I will certainly come back to maybe try the cauliflower entree next."
"Very popular Veg place in Atlanta. I got the kalebone and the Mac and cheese here. The kalebone tasted pretty familiar — if you eat a lot of veggie proteins you’ll know what I’m talking about. Nicely (and not overly) fried, though over-salted. The mac and cheese was surprisingly better than I expected. I’m not a fan of “vegan cheese” in general, but this was more like “Mac n sauce” rather than cheese. Unique taste and a hearty meal. Try it if you know you enjoy soul food!"
"Now this place is the truth. Service from the male owner was great- gave some good recommendations and whipped up the food in a timely manner. I got Tofu cutlets, Mac&cheese and brown rice n gravy. Delicious and so flavourful!! I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. It's honestly a rare find to have home cooked vegan soul food amoungst many chains these days, this is 10/10. Also the Vanilla Pecan milkshake was A-mazing!!!"
"Yeah, I don't think so. On the road, I picked this place thinking vegan soul food! I was wrong. First, I felt unwelcome. Second, the menu is online and hard to read on a phone, you'd think it'd be better formatted for online reading. Looking at the menu best I could, none of it really sounded like soul food so I ordered the veggie burger. 22 long minutes later, I was handed a burger wrapped in foil with 2 napkins. Now I was asked if I wanted to eat in or take to go, I asked for a table. Maybe I was in fact unwelcome. The veggie burger is a sorry excuse for a $15 burger. Check out the pics, they speak for themselves. I would say this is one of my worst restaurant experience."
