Waffle House

"Terrible service. Server never said hi, walked up to my table and stared at me. I tell her my order and said thank you and no your welcome. Brings me my food then realizes she hasn’t got me my drink yet. One of the things I ordered was chili, and she didn’t bring me a spoon. Multiple times I said thank you and she had no response. Never had a server act like this. In the photo it’s the one on the left. I don’t know her name because I didn’t really care to know it the way she treated me. If I ran this Waffle House I’d be embarrassed if my employee acted like that."

"I have eaten at many Waffle Houses all over the South. This place was absolutely the worst. My waffle was like a sponge. The syrup was cold, so the guy put it in a pan of hot water and brought the pan to the table. This restaurant just felt dirty."

"I love Waffel house. I ordered 2 sandwiches, to go. I was quite surprised that they added on a 10% surcharge for it being a To Go order. They also added a 15% gratuity to be split between the server who took the order and the cook. That is a total of 25% added to your total. I was a server for over 30 years and except for large parties a tip was never automatically added. It is called a gratuity because the customer is showing their great fullness and tips according to how well their service was. When automatically adding a tip a server has no incentive to be exceptional. It's the old " everyone on the team gets a trophy." If that is the case, prices should include the tip and servers should have a higher wage. And....does the tip get added to the total that includes the 10%. Next time I will bring my own to go dish and when they bring my food, I can put it in my own container. I can also then tip according to what I feel was deserved. I normally tip 20% or more for good service."

"Cook did a great job. Some food sat and got cold due to waitresses not taking to tables faster. It's not the cooks' fault. Was not that busy. A young lady was training, and she was doing good. Very attentive. Our food was good. Two other waitresses were good but spent some time goofing off as well as off and on the phone. Definitely not a positive role model for someone training. We were ready to order for a little while and were just waiting on the waitress to take our order (maybe 10 minutes and it was not the young lady training. I would go back. Just need to work a little more on positive role model training and respect towards a job and job title. There is always something that can be done."
