"I am a fan of Ms Icey's Kitchen, so I thought Belle & Lily's would be just as good, if not better. I walked in, was greeted warmly by Fatima, and was seated right away, and met my 2 friends. The in-house made ginger beer I had was very lackluster; it was flat and had no ginger flavor. When I told Fatima, she said she & the chef was aware, said "Sorry" and didn't offer any alternative beverage. I know on the menu it states that you cannot return food just because you don't like it, so I guess that is why I was stuck with it. I ordered the Rude Bwoi which is whole parrot fish for $34. Snapper fish was substituted because they were out of parrot fish. The fry on the fish was good, but the accompanying sauce was too salty. I really wanted to love the food."
"Belle & Lily's aspires to be Red Rooster, Virgil's Gullah Kitchen, or Miss Icey's for the Chamblee-Tucker area, and I support this goal. That area desperately needs a spot like that. However if you are going to charge Ponce City and West Midtown prices, then your food, drinks and service have to improve across the board. $32 for a beer bottle sized 'carafe' of watered down sangria is outrageous, especially in a Big Lots strip mall. The DJ was great, but in terms of your core priorities, you should have had a proper bartender on duty and not had the waitress working double duty. All our drinks were terrible or mediocre. The waitress did the best she could. Also, take the canned callaloo off the menu. I think you can prosper with some small tweaks. Best of luck!"
"Shout out to Fatima and Clarence for their excellent customer service and for being so personable and fun. My group and I enjoyed the appetizers (jerk wings & seafood tostones). Zoes Elixir Carafe was so worth it! Delicious champagne mix! We all enjoyed the jerk chicken, french toast, plantains, eggs, callaloo, chicken sausage and pancakes for brunch! I am so glad I went because some of the owners also have Ms Iceys Kitchen & Bar and APT4B within the same restaurant group so I figured this would be a huge hit! I will definitely be back to support this black owned business!!!!"
"Came to take my spouse to brunch for his bday. We were seated promptly as we had reservations. Our server was great and attentive. I ordered the passionfruit mimosa and my spouse ordered hibiscus mimosa. We couldn't really taste any flavors beyond the champagne itself. The French toast was pretty good albeit on the expensive end. For $18 dollars it should come with a side included. I also had a veggie Jamaican patty. It was on the warm side (couldve been warmer). Not something I would have again. It was decent. My husband enjoyed his pancakes and chicken. Overall, I'm proud to have supported this black business. The atmosphere is inviting and scenic too. I would say that the entree's are a little expensive. Either more food should come or drinks should come included, or something to make it worth the listed price. Especially if you want repeat customers. Otherwise, I would say go for the experience at least once."
"I was excited to visit this establishment, however; I was very disappointed. The restaurant space is too small to accommodate large parties or several guests at once. Due to the attempt to get a lot of diners in it made the space feel tight and uncomfortably warm. It was more than 30 minutes to get our food after we ordered and my party ordered eggs, pancakes and omelettes. One member in our party food came out about 5-7 minutes after the majority of the party received our food. I had to send my dish back because the menu lists the ingredients but sadly not all the ingredients. Because I didn’t see onions listed in the ingredients, I ordered the dish. Sadly to say it was full of onions. After notifying our server, she just took the dish without saying much. So I assumed after she shared that onions are premixed with the other ingredients that the dish would be remade. They have a live DJ but again, the space is too small and the music was unbearably loud. Parties were separated due to the poor and limited seating in which they were either screaming across the restaurant to communicate with each other or physically getting up walking over which made it more uncomfortable for other guests. Needless to say this wasn’t a good experience. The prices don’t match the portions. Which makes the diners feel cheated. The menu says 18% gratuity added to each person but they added 20% gratuity. The food, drinks and atmosphere was mediocre. The food and menu doesn’t really embody authentic Caribbean cuisine. I most likely won’t be returning or recommending this restaurant."
