Reviews
"We wanted to really enjoy this restaurant but we didn’t. I was cautious as reviews we s anywhere from 5 to 1 stars. The service was average at best. It started by them trying to set us at a small table when the place was 60% empty. Our server was ok not very friendly not rude either. The food was average at best. Our salad tasted like bottled Italian dressing. The chicken although abundant in my pasta was so tough to chew and had no flavor. If I didn’t know better, I would have sworn it was boiled. My wife’s pasta dish red sauce was no better than jar sauce. All said I cannot recommend this restaurant and probably won’t return."
"A welcome spot to Dalton- an Italian restaurant- quickly followed by the infamous frozen food style Olive Garden which seems to have easily beat out this place. The restaurant is in a really nice spot and they made it real nice but the enjoyment stops there. Chicken Marsala not bad but nothing like typical Italian chicken Marsala. Chicken parmigiana seemed to be on menu but disguised under different description. No penne a la vodka? No baked clams? No eggplant, veal, sole, calamari? Linguini with clam sauce??? Cheesecake? Antipasta had blue cheese, bacon, blueberries??? Hmm? Website makes it look like could be real deal. Bread with oil was good but that was the meal for first 50 minutes of waiting. Backed up severely though restaurant was not full. Menu not elaborate so should not be long waits. Antipasto finally came and was huge disappointment, followed very quickly after by dinner. Shrimp scampi very few small shrimp they were ok but on top of angel hair pasta that tasted like nothing on it. Please adjust menu and go to some real mozzarella, ricotta, and parmigiana reggiano. You don’t have to go to the big tasks of making scarpiello, osso busca, or stuffed artichokes but a little fried calamari? Promise you add these simple items and they will not even have to be great in Dalton to draw crowds. Trust me Olive Garden gets away with it where they can."
"I went the day before thanksgiving so we were the only ones in the restaurant for a while. There was Christmas music quietly playing and a beautiful Christmas tree. The staff were VERY nice, polite, and professional. The food was wonderful! I loved the bread and oil before the meal. They did an excellent job of keeping us stocked in water. The tiramisu was easily the best I’ve ever had."
"Cyras in Dalton has nothing to worry about. I was excited to try a new restaurant in Dalton, especially Italian. This place unfortunately disappoints. Small portions and poor service equals disaster. No specials and nothing available on the published dessert menu."
