Hampton Inn & Suites Flowery Branch Lake Lanier

"I am giving 1 star because I don't think the system will allow me to give less. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. In the past, although overpriced, the stays were fine without any surprises either with the room or the bill. This time was different. I stayed two nights, a Thursday and a Friday. I am a Hilton Honors member. When I reviewed my bill I noticed that the first night was billed at 147.02 and the second night at 133.06 which was approximately the rate I was expecting for both nights. This was pretax which tacked on another $25 for each night. I called the property to check, assuming this was a billing error. I was told the higher rate was calculated based on hotel occupancy for each night and that a flat rate per night guarantee was not possible. If I had booked online there would have been a cheaper "guaranteed" rate. Unfortunately, we as consumers have come to expect a lack of ethics from the "hospitality industry", but this was beyond the pale. I hope the $14 stolen from me was worth it because as a frequent visitor to this area, I will not stay in this hotel or any other Hilton Honors property again. They certainly do not show honor towards their paying guests. Buyer beware!"

"Very friendly staff. Renovations are coming along very nicely. Very convenient to restaurants - walking distance. Rooms might be smaller, but that is the norm these days."

"The lobby is under construction and there is absolutely not one chair to sit in while you wait for someone to pick you up. We had no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. The curtains don’t close all the way and are ripped. We left the room at 11:45am, removed the do not disturb sign and our room was never made up. One of the evening managers was sympathetic and gave a slight discount on the rooms but the other staff could not have cared. This was a disappointing stay."

"Great experience here!! The first thing we noticed was how friendly and helpful the staff members were when they welcomed us. The hotel itself, and the room, was super clean. They are going through renovations, but are handling it perfectly as far as signage, etc. There was even an alert on their website when we booked our stay, explaining about the renovations, and saying that breakfast may be limited to grab and go. (Breakfast was tasty nontheless!) One touch I just loved, they even have doggie water stations located on the property for their furry guests! We look forward to booking our next stay at this property, and seeing how the renovations turn out. Wonderful place!"

"Hampton Inn & Suites Flowery Branch Lake Lanier (well now, that's quite a mouthful) is an excellent option for spending the night in the Lake Lanier region. My room was clean and comfortable. The shower was very nice. Desk service was friendly, helpful, and prompt. The price was quite fair. Unless you need to be right on the lake this is a great place to stay. Very much recommended."
