"The store looked like they were out of many items. We were looking for a specific T-shirt (all mixed up on a table) but never did find it. On the way out, I had to use the bathroom in a hurry. The upstairs escalator was closed so I was aiming for the downstairs bathroom. The male janitor JUST put up a sign that it was about to be cleaned. I asked (begged) if I could go in anyway before he got in there. I just had to pee which took me less than two minutes. He did allow it but on the way out, he pointed to the paper sign on the door (about twenty words long) and insisted that I read it. I think he wanted me to acknowledge that there was a bathroom upstairs I could have used.. which I already knew but like I said didn't have time to find the stairs since the escalator was broken. It was a little insulting."
"STAY AWAY FROM!!!!!!! AVOID JCP ONLINE!!!!! I would give ZERO stars if I could. I placed an order 11/24. It says "awaiting pickup by carrier" still on 12/12. I have reached out 4 different times by chat and phone. The CS reps were rude each time. They all said to wait another day or two. The lady tonight copped and attitude from the start and kept it. She said they couldn't refund me because I used Paypal and their systems don't talk. She requested me give her my credit card number. Ummm, NO Gizelle. At the end of it all, JCP still has my money and I still don't have the item ordered. They claim you are not charged until item ships, but they mean you are not charged until label created. Also, they will email you a copy of your chat, you can read it but not print it. When you go to print, all of the middle pages are blank. I have always been a faithful JCP supporter. Not any more. EDIT to add response to JCP: I have called the 800 # suggested. Twice! Why can't we send an email. You have my name, number, address and email. Now you want my twitter and FB account too. NO! Provide an email for resolution."
"Very bad business, I ordered a product online that said it was in the store and I would be able to pick the item up but no one ever call me to say that the product was out of stock, but they took my money smh, this is at the Jewelry store, then they reach back out to me to tell me to call a number that I can't even talk to someone, how in the world you tell me to call you directly yet I can't even get through. I swear if I could give them a zero I would just bad service all around."

"I've been a devoted JCPenney customer for five years, coming to the store for a wide range of goods. But I'm really upset after meeting a disrespectful Manager, recently. Her name was Tony I felt under-appreciated as a customer when I went to the manager to discuss a problem with a defective item because of their callous attitude and lack of empathy. The helpful and kind people I have previously dealt with is a sharp contrast to this unpleasant experience. I've been a dedicated customer of JCPenney for years, but after this experience, I'm not sure if the shop really merits my business. It is my genuine hope that JCPenney responds quickly to this problem and makes sure that every employee—especially managers—prioritizes providing excellent customer service. In conclusion, my opinion of JCPenney has been permanently damaged by the impolite actions of a management there. I want JCPenney to consider this situation and take action to stop it from happening again. As a devoted client, I think that providing outstanding customer service ought to be a primary goal, and I'm hoping to see changes that will boost my trust in the company again."
