"Todd and his team at Reality are second to none. If you are a beginner or experienced rider, look to this shop for help. We can all order bike stuff online, but the difference here is the experience shared to make your purchases and rides better. I personally can't say enough about Todd's bike fit services. In less than an hour, he helped relieve discomfort on my road bike I'd lived with for years. He does so with a minimal amount of special tech and an abundance of knowledge. Best money I've spent in this world."
"My experience with Reality Bikes has always been amazing. They have taken excellent care of my bikes, and me as a client. I have had two bikes assembled there from a box and the bikes have been flawless. I recently had a bit of an emergency when UPS almost destroyed my E-bike while being shipped in a box to GA. I brought the damaged bike with what remained of the box to them. They assembled it and fix the damage. They understood that I was in a pinch for time as I was going on a road trip to Bentonville in two days. The bike was ready the next day! I would HIGHLY recommend this bike shop to anyone. "For two years, I have occasionally come here to purchase various items. Recently, I brought my bike for service (major overhaul), and decided to write this review after considering my various experiences. Pros: (1) From what I gather through word of mouth and social media, Reality Bikes is an important part of the cycling community in Georgia. I really appreciate how Reality Bikes supports everyone from casual rides to serious athletes. Their selection is top notch, and their prices are reasonable (e.g. the major overhaul I had done was on sale for $200). Cons: (1) I know this is anecdotal, but most of the times I've interacted with the staff, they've been stoic and seemed unhappy. Most of my questions are answered with short "yes" or "no" type of answers, whether it's regarding service or sales. This makes me feel unwelcome. Maybe it's my bad luck, but that's been my experience almost always when I stop in. But since I love supporting local bike shops, I still come back for occasional purchases when I can. (2) I know a major overhaul consists of many things, most of which I cannot see from the outside (e.g. greased BB, new internally routed cables), but from what I could see with my eyes, I was unimpressed. And I know, these are not necessarily performance altering issues, but they still left me dissatisfied. First, the mechanic installed the brake cables while the brakes (Ultegra rim brake) were in the open position. That means when the brakes calipers are closed, the pads touch the wheels, and the brake levers cannot be squeezed. Easy enough fix, which the mechanic helped with. Second, the major overhaul is supposed to include a full wash, but the cassette and wheels were dirty. Perhaps it was due to a quick test-spin after finishing the service. Yet, it looked like the wheels weren't washed at all. Otherwise, other aspects of the overhaul seemed okay from just looking at it. I will have to see when I take it out for a proper spin. Conclusion: I don't want to leave a 1-star review just b/c of one unhappy experience. The 3-star review is a reasonable/kind review based on 2 years of occasional visits which were largely mediocre. Yet, I always support local bike shops because I believe in what they mean to the community of cyclists. I just hope Reality Bikes would give me a reason to support them more."
"My daughter has had two separate bike fits at Reality and each time Todd and his staff have gone way above and beyond a simple transaction. The insight that they've given, the time they've taken to explain the what and why of the things they're doing is awesome. Customer service has been impeccable, I cannot recommend them highly enough, seriously, our experiences there have been awesome!"
"Many years ago we bought a couple of Townie bikes here. We are looking at buying a couple of E bikes and stopped in to see their selection. Reality Bikes has been in business since 1995! They have a great selection of bikes and accessories to choose from. But really sets them apart is their customer service, they listened to us and gave us some really great advice. They let us ride several E bikes around the parking lot. If looking for a bike check them out."
