"I've been wanting to try this place, but the days that I pass through, they're not open. I passed through yesterday and saw they were open, so I turned around. The place was nice and clean. The owner was very nice. I ordered the large oxtails plate with peas in the rice, cabbage macaroni & cheese. The macaroni & cheese was the best thing on the plate. I wasn't fond of the peas and rice. It was also bland and lacking seasoning. The cabbage didn't have any seasoning. The oxtails, I've had better. They had like a sweetish like taste to them. All in all, it wasn't what I expected from an authentic, Jamaican restaurant. The food was very bland. But I will go back to try something else."
"Nothing spectacular about this place or food. Not many stores in the shopping center and we saw no activity in or around the restaurant (aside from the passing main road traffic). First thoughts were: Is this a deserted shopping center? Are they open? Lol. This should've been our queue to leave, but we went in anyway - no one but owner inside, no food smells... Decent size plates but could use more meat. Everything was bland! Jerk chicken is more like bbq chicken with a kick. Curry chicken was the right color but again lacked flavor. Cabbage and collard greens - no flavor. Salt was used in mac and cheese (thankfully), but it still doesn't taste cheesy, although you see cheese sitting just on top. We ordered rice and peas as a side, not realizing the entrees came with it, but it probably saved us from trying the other side that may have been just as bland. Beef patty was the flattest patty I've ever seen, again just ok, not much flavor. Jerk shrimp was the best thing we tried, but you only get about 8 shrimp. Eatable but not preferred. I've had way better Jamaican food. We went out of our way to give it a try but won't be going back."
"I’m a truck driver so I had to DoorDash the food but when I got the food boy was I amazed. I got the medium oxtail plate and the medium jerk chicken pasta. It was so much food I had to call the restaurant to make sure it was the medium. The food was really good and I’ll be eating this for a few days. Also the beef patties were delicious. If I’m ever back down this way I will definitely get them again."
"Great food and so fast! We had the oxtail and curry chicken; both plates were great! Kevin and his wife were so friendly! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for flavor. Locally owned is a huge plus too!!"
"Great vibe, the music is the right volume. We had the brown stew chicken, Mac and cheese, and cabbage and the jerk chicken same sides. My wife wasn’t a fan of the brown stew chicken at all. The Jerk Chicken was great. Mac and cheese would have been better fresh and cabbage was good. The portion was good we both got the medium plates. Great portion size. If you order the pasta they don’t make it until you get here, Which is what I ordered but didn’t know the rule until I got here. I will be back!"
