"Came to the shop as a walk-in as the stylist I had previously booked online cancelled on me last minute. I came into the shop the stylist/owner Mz.Toni informed me of her client to stylist policy; I was a bit skeptical but I went along with it as I was a walk-in and she explained to me the reason she put the policy in place. Upon leaving my daughter started to cry Mz.Toni stated she’d be fine. I sat in my car in front of the shop and observed the service once I was comfortable I left and ran a few errands when I returned my baby was a smiles and her hair looked good as well… I gave 4 stars only bcuz parents have to wait in the car but we had an overall great experience. We will be returning."
"Our appointment was scheduled for 2:45 and the stylist called a few hours before and mentioned that she had a cancellation and asked if we could come in earlier. I let her know we taking my daughters braids out but could probably be there around 1. She said great. We arrived around 1:15 and she was not kind upon meeting us. Honestly I wanted to leave then but, I decided to let it go. She then told me I was not allowed to stay in the salon with my daughter. This was not listed anywhere when I booked the appointment and I have never been told that I had to leave my daughter at a salon in order to receive service. Again, I let it go bc my daughter is nine and I felt confident that she would call me if there was a problem. My daughter has always done great at salons so I wasn’t worried. After the service, When my daughter got in the car and I asked her how it was she immediately said traumatizing. She said Toni was rough and pulled and jerked her head around while she was holding back tears. She asked never to return to the shop. I asked why she didn’t call me, she said she was scared and Toni kept saying “I’m not doing anything to hurt you” which feels like a manipulation. How can she know what my child is feeling without asking? I could go on about my daughters retelling of her experience but I don’t want to. My daughter and I have always loved going to the salon- I want her to love the experience not just the end result. Her hair was cute but not worth a traumatizing experience."
"I started taking my daughter here for 5 or so months! Ms. Toni does a fantastic job. My daughter's hair lasts for 3 weeks. Additionally, my little one's hair health has improved and has grown longer."
"I don't know if these reviews are real or just her family and friends. This lady is very sneaky and deceptive. She started off late and I told her that was fine. She came, but never cut on her shop lights the whole service. She told me that I needed to sit outside of her shop or go home and she'll call me. I don't leave my kids with strangers, so I just sat outside in almost 100 degree weather, and gas is extremely high so going back home and running my air for two hrs wasn't a good option. She did walk out of her shop twice while my daughter was in her shop in the dark by herself, so I'm glad I stayed. By the end of the service I walked back in and my daughter was under the dryer with a whole head of double strand twists instead of braids. I showed this lady the picture before Starting and she examined and clarified. I asked her twice not to make the braids jumbo. She began lying and saying something about a misunderstanding. She clarified and repeated the style back so I knew she understood in the beginning. Then she said SHE thought the style was cuter! She did offer to redo, but she knew I wasn't sitting outside another 2hrs. and had to go out of town. My daughter sd that she tried to text me and let me know that she was doing it wrong, but Toni told her she was being rude looking at my daughters phone, then began acting annoyed hurting her head harder with small tooth comb. That's a game she played because she felt she could get away with it and still charge full price with card on file with styleseat. I didn't give her the full amount. I shouldn't have given her anything, but I know that vengeance is not my place. Please do not leave your child alone with this woman. I teach my kids about supporting black businesses, but it made me feel a way because when I take them to one, we screw each other over. Bad example, and you try not to act crazy with them in front of your children. I agreed to pay an extra fee for her length without a problem. If you didn't feel like doing it you could have been honest. My daughters hair was washed, and straightened before arrival to prevent PAIN. That made it easier for her because she didn't have to do anything but braid."
"My daughter's hair turned out amazing!! The owner Toni is very friendly, professional and Great at what she does. We are definitely going back. I highly recommend this place for your kids!! Thank You Toni!! Jaida will be back very soon!!!!"
