"My nonverbal kiddo absolutely hates getting his haircut and we normally both leave crying from him being so distressed about it. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and made feel so welcome. They told us he could go pick out his own seat (that had the cutest stickers and magnet toys on it which was a helpful distraction) While he still cried and pitched a fit, Charmaine consistently talked to him to try to soothe him as well as reassure me because I couldn’t stop saying how sorry I was. She deserves every bit of the tip I left her!!! I can’t wait to take him back more often so he gets used to her, I can’t imagine taking him anywhere else now!"

We’ve also come in to get braids (plus flare-She added tinsel & gems in her braids) before a basketball game because my daughter loves how long they last & keeps her hair out of the way during the game. She listened and respected his wishes when he asked not to be sprayed with the mister to assist cutting his hair and brought out specific toys she knew he was interested in. We felt very relaxed in the kid-friendly environment of the salon and while my son does really well for haircuts, I can tell the patience and kindness would be extended even if that wasn’t the case. My other child, my older daughter, has sensory issues and haircuts can be stressful for her. I’ve already made her next appointment at pigtails and Crewcuts and am looking forward to the visit!"
