"We love this camp. Just a beautiful place! Met some great people and enjoyed Mr Lovett, his knowledge of the area. Could talk to him for hours! Hope to be back!"
"Had a fun boating day at Lake Meriwether. Very well kept. Reasonable lot prices and not crowded. A hidden gem for this area."
"We have camped here, played Frisbee golf, and enjoyed beautiful scenery of the lake. The bathrooms could use an upgrade but not terrible. This is a reservoir so they do not allow gas boat motors which make it a much cleaner environment and quiet. I have seen cranes, whitetail deer, I've caught bass and crappie here. Mine and my daughters favorite spot to be close to nature. Wish they had electric plug and water at each camp site. I would pay more for the amenities."
"Such a pretty campground, and lake. Well maintained grounds, and bathrooms clean, gated at night. RV and walkin tent sites. Robert in the office is very respectful and helpful. Very quiet at night."
"Lake Meriwether Park is a GEM. A small park, but RV sites have power and water. Parking and access is well maintained. The feel of the park is quite intimate, but also quite secure. (This is a comment, not a criticism - the sites are grass and marked only by the power hubs. There are options on approach and orientation to each site.) Fire rings and picnic tables are provided. The park is beautiful to a point of being idyllic. The park itself has activities centered on relaxation, hiking, fishing. tent and RV camping. There is much history in this area, many days worth of activity relating to local, regional and national history. There is also an abundance of southern regional charm in this area. The Lake is the local public water supply, and use is limited to non-polluting activities. One of the most wonderful surprises from our stay was the opportunity to meet with the park Caretaker, Mr. Robert Lovett. Mr. Lovett was a man of regional importance, a loyal and dedicated local public servant. Mr. Lovett is a man of great charm and great warmth - an true ambassador for the Park and for his community without equal. I cannot say enough good about this place - it is not a RV resort, it is much more. It is an intimate, beautiful, extremely comfortable place. It is a place to spend at least 4 or 5 days, to decompress and to appreciate why we travel. It is stunning. I hesitate to give a review - this is one of those places that we share hesitatingly because we want to protect it."
