"I have visited Del Frisco's several times in the past and always have enjoyed it but unfortunately, due to my most recent experience I will not be returning...this is supposed to be a high end steak house and given the prices no one is looking to have a mediocre experience. Today the first mishap...I ordered a glass of wine and the wine glass was dirty with an old over, obvious lipstick stain on it!! Disgusting. Secondly, I ordered the lobster bisque and it came out cold. Thirdly, I ordered the scallops with lobster Mac n cheese and cream corn on the side. I go to eat the sides and there is hair in the food. I told the waitresses and she quickly took it away and took it off the bill. She also offered a free dessert on the house, which I received the chocolate mouse cake and even it wasn't good. It was a ghost time in there for dinner time....maybe like 4 tables were occupied at most. I've never seen the place so empty. It's like word got out that this place has gone down hill and I couldn't agree more. They don't even have valet service anymore. Its very pathetic right now. Food and service is lacking at this level. These type of petty mistakes should not be happening at a restaurant with $$$$ prices. I predict this place will be closing very soon. No one is looking to spend this type money for lack luster service and food. Go elsewhere!!!"
"I recently dined at Del Fresco in Dunwoody, GA, and my overall experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I opted for the prime ribeye steak with bone, while my friends chose the filet mignon and boneless prime ribeye. The filet mignon received high marks from one of my friends, but unfortunately, my impression of the ribeye wasn't as favorable. While the ribeye was undeniably juicy, I found it lacking in the distinctive flavors one might expect, especially given the restaurant's price point. The taste was decent but didn't live up to the culinary expectations associated with a premium steakhouse. The sides, too, left something to be desired, falling short of complementing the main dishes in a memorable way. On a positive note, the VIP cocktail did manage to stand out and was a highlight of the evening. Its unique blend of flavors added a refreshing touch to the meal, providing a pleasant contrast to the somewhat underwhelming steak and sides. In terms of service, I must mention that it was a bit slow. However, our server was both informative and patient in explaining the menu, which added a positive touch to the overall experience. The atmosphere at Del Fresco was noteworthy, creating a pleasant ambiance that contributed to the dining experience."
"It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. The bread was amazing. The food could have been better. We placed an order for this deal for $215 where you can get 2 appetizers, 2 sides, 4 entrees and a dessert or something like that. After waiting for the food the waiter comes back and says that the menu that we have was old and they no longer had that deal so we looked at the new menu and ordered. My husband ordered a New York strip and the brought him a prime rib. Because we waited so long to get it because of the menu order he said he was fine. He mentioned that he didn’t want to pay the $20 increase price for the one they sent him because that wasn’t what he wanted. The waiter was nice and offered to bring the right one but it was already a wait. They also didn’t have the sides that my kids ordered with their meals which was strange. We were there on a Wednesday and it wasn’t too busy. The presentation wasn’t pretty for the food but I suppose if you don’t eat with your eyes you’re okay. I really dislike how they did their billing. We tipped our waitress in cash like we always do but paid our $317 with our card. Checked the card today and they charged us $370. Basically added her tip to the card as well as the cash that we gave her in hand. I kept a copy of my receipt but we will be contacting them regarding the additional charge. I was appreciative of my family for doing a dinner for my birthday but I really dislike dinners at new places because of the chances of things going wrong and they typically do."
"Alex the bartender/server made our visit enjoyable & entertaining. He was genuinely engaging & checked in on us almost on cue where we didn't have to gesture for his attention. There’s live music via a Piano Bar, Thursday-Saturday 5:30P-9:30P. Strict upscale dress code is in effect. With the nice weather in effect, sit on the patio or at the exterior bar is a must. You can now use your Landry’s Reward program since their acquisition of both the DF Grilles & Double Eagle Steakhouses. Not much for the Plant Based society, yet the wonderful service, atmosphere & extensive wine offering is worth the visit. Self Park/Valet Garage is off of Hammond Drive."
"My sweet Valentine took to this place, being my first time, and it was wonderful. We went on the day of Valentine’s Day (of course it was busy) but our server was on top of making sure we knew what specialities were on for that day. The environment was welcoming and the food was well prepared. My partner and I, both ordered our meat to be cooked medium and it was savory. One thing I enjoyed the most was the Creamed Spinach, I believe it would have been so good to eat with even chips as a small snack or appetizer. If you have a sweet tooth you will definitely like the strawberry cheesecake. I would definitely go back there, but mind you it’s to be dressed with a proper attire. Also valet was just $5, so it was a nice feeling having someone welcome you into the restaurant."
