"Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Went for Valentines Day (pre fixe menu) and thought it was a great value for what we received, especially the shrimp. Even the special butter that came with the milk bun was incredibly delicious. Can’t wait to try the regular menu!"

"I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally was able to tonight. The ambiance is great and takes you to a coastal town as soon as you enter. The Portofino Cocktail was delicious and had just enough alcohol to enjoy it over the course of the meal. The milk bun was soft and warm to the stomach. The Avocado and Crab tostadas was delicious. We really loved them. We shared the chicken dish and it was pretty good but not great. We really wanted the snapper but unfortunately they were out of it already. I’d love to come back and try that dish and dine here again."

"Our experience at Carmel was a bit mixed, but overall the food was good. I’ll begin with the positives. We stared with martinis, and they made a fantastic martini. We already knew what we wanted to eat, so we placed the order right away. The grilled shrimp with coconut-peanut broth, peanut relish, dried lime powder and red oil was phenomenal. It was rich, fresh, flavorful. The charred shishitos were equally as delicious. If the meal had stopped there, it would have been perfect. Unfortunately we had a very long wait from there. Our starters came out within 10 minutes of our ordering, but the mains took an hour to come out. The restaurant was about half full for a Saturday night, not enough for such a long wait for our main courses. Our server was friendly, but there was no communication about why or when our dishes would come. When they came, they were good - but the exceptionally long wait put a damper on the overall experience. When our bill came, the total did not match service and experience. I may give Carmel another chance, as it’s a beautiful, warm and welcoming space with very good food. But the pacing left a bad taste in my mouth."

"Went here for a birthday dinner. Carmel's interior is awesome and definitely sets a mood. The food and service were GREAT, The general manager and staff were amazing. If you go please make sure that you try the cauliflower and sweet potatoes. I promise you that I could have ordered 4 servings of the cauliflower and been satisfied for two days. The divers scallops were awesome. Definitely looking forward to going back."

"Such a beautiful restaurant. They decorated it perfectly. Our server Jenai was perfect. She had great knowledge of the menu and provided recommendations. We loved our cocktails. The food had unusual flavors and unexpected pairings. If you are looking for something new this is definitely the place"
