"First time camping with our toddler. We didn’t want to go to far just in case she didn’t like it so 20 min from Cartersville MAX. Was a great thing for us! The site was pretty close to the water so my husband fished all night long. There were rocks to the water so taking the kayaks was kinda hard but there is a boat Ram if wanted. The beach area was nice too pretty clean and not too deep for the kids! Reservations were pretty straight forward online. Bathrooms start cleans but obviously while the weekend went by they got more and more dirty. Definitely recommend if you just want to get away for a little while."
"Most camping sites are nice, a couple are pretty tight and kinda crammed in but not too many places, the only issue I had was with parking. I had the names of the people at the campground and told them the exact location but not the actual spot number because my group was sleeping and they couldn't figure out which site was mine, I had to drive down to the site and then back up to the front office, get a parking pass, then go back. I would suggest having a laminated copy of the layout and then just when someone checks in write their number next to their name too that way this kind of stuff can be prevented. The bathrooms are I'm the best shape (I've seen) on Lake Allatoona, and they have a playground!"
"Great camping ground. Was close to a nice town so gave us something to do other than exploring nature if we wanted to. Good cell service too. Provided security. Rules were followed by everyone. Nice area and would go back"
"Great little campground close to town and Amenities, right on the water. Mostly tent spots and smaller trailers, but their website tells you which is which and how long will fit in each spot. We saw several 30+ footers."
