"Too much hiking to get to the lake for me. Not toddler friendly. Rocks are very slippery. Take water and watch out for snakes."
"It was a beautiful park. Idk what trail to the river there was but we never found it. No trail there was easy. My eight year and year old dog early died(dramatic)from the up and downs. It's rugged and rocky on parts. The fire ants got me. Be prepared to hike. I wouldn't recommend dogs. There are no signs at the beginning to tell you which trail to use. Again be prepared to hike. The older gentleman from the resivour recommend I take my dog there. Maybe the Liberian knows more but we weren't totally prepared. Thinking a nice hike to the river. Sadly that's not what's there at all. Kids, as I, was disappointed."
"We hiked to the river with our dogs. They love playing in the water year round. The trail that follows the creek is easy."
"Awesome trails that not a lot know about. Wish there was trail access on Sundays also. The park operates on the library hours and they close the gates to the park since the library is closed on Sunday. There needs to be a trail that leads all the way to dog river since it is also part of the park. Its a 2 mile hike through woods with no trail along a creek to reach the river."
"We love taking our dog to these trails. Great for a quick walk that isn’t just a paved side walk. Also, they have bathrooms beside the trails, a pavilion with a grill, lots of benches, and water bowls for the pups! There is also access to the river from one of the trails!"
