"Someone told me about this place. They said it had very good country cooking. I decided to take the wife on 2/16/24. Well here's is where this place gave me my first and last experience. Walk in very cozy place. We sat at the table for 15 minutes before anyone came to the table to get our drink order and waited another 10 minutes before I had enough and left. Here's what pit me over the top. A family of came in and was greeted right away had there drinks and order in. While we was still waiting on our drinks. Food may be good but you lost a customer with the service. Unfortunately you get better service at McDonald's. Thank you for your reply back. This wasn't an understaffed issue. Every other table was getting waited on. I sat there and watched my waitress stand by the cash register doing nothing after taking my drink order. Again thank you for your quick response. I will remove the one star to a three star just because the restaurant was very clean."
"Love going to Phat Phil's for authentic home cooked dinner. Very plain simple place, but the waitstaff works hard and makes sure you get fresh hot food!"
"Moved here in July and one Sunday, my boyfriend and I were trying to find a nice place to eat lunch after church near home. My friend recommended Phat Phil’s so we went and it is literally 30 seconds from our house! The best place for Smokey fries and I also love their mashed potatoes! Everyone in there is so nice and any time I order to go, they always greet me when I come in the door in a family friendly way. 10/10 from us!"
"Absolutely DISGUSTING! If I could I would give it zero stars! The worst service I have ever had. Our waitress was incredibly standoffish and rude, I’m pretty sure we saw bugs leave the kitchen, Our silverware was dirty and unwashed, Not to mention the food being tasteless along with having a microwaved feel to it. To top things off there was a gentlemen who frequented our table named Phil who looked like he was on something. We could smell the marijuana scent on him from a mile away. SAVE YOUR MONEY!"
"Loved our first visit to Phat Phil’s. Our food tasted like it was coming out of granny’s kitchen. I had a veggie plate where the fresh off the cobb creamed corn was the star with carrots playing an amazing supporting role. The show stopper was the juicy chicken finger I stole off Brian’s plate. I only got to steal one because the mound was gone after I spent time enjoying my veggies. Our server was adorable and friendly - even if she called us out on being first time patrons. This is they type of restaurant that southerners would like to see earn Michelin stars."
