"Clean, there is a Picknick table, privy, bear Box and cables to hang your food. Water is down a very steep climb be careful."

"If you start at Amicalola Falls this is a good point to camp. Many go on to Springer Mountain but we were not in great shape and this was where we stopped. Had a shelter house, plenty of tent sites and a privy. One missing star is water. It is about 3/10 or more of a mile away, downhill from the shelter and it's a small spring. Not easy to get high volumes of water quickly and then you have to hike up the hill to get back to the shelter. Does have a picnic table."

"The campsite itself is clean, with 4-5 fire rings. The outhouse is among the dirtier ones I’ve experienced out on the trail, but it gets the job done. Bring your squatting muscles!"

"Great shelter located on the Approach Trail to the Appalachian Trail. It is 7.3 miles from Amicalola Falls StatePark. It is well maintained, has a bear box, bear cable's and a privy."

"Very beautiful area with a shelter and tent sites. The privy was clean and there were bear cables and a box for food storage. There is a nice place to get water on the way from Amicalola and another water source downhill from the site but is quite far."
