"Legendary hospitality and delicious farm to table dining experiences that are only a short stroll from the Appalachian Trail. A do not miss for thru-hikers and warm and welcoming respite for all who wander in."
"Very close to the Appalachian Trail. What a great place. This organic gardening/ farm is top notch. Afternoon yoga is a regular here. There are private rooms and a bunk house for guests. The rates are very inexpensive. The dinner served was amazing. If you are in the area please stop by for a stay, you'll wish it was for multiple nights."
"Five star rating as a great place to stop while thru or section hiking the Appalachian Trail. An easy quarter mile off the AT, Woods Hole offers a solid bunkhouse and some nice interior rooms for lodging, plus showers, a community room with comfortable seating and a fireplace, mail service, and dinner. I stayed in April of 2022 on a northbound section hike to Pennsylvania. Neville met me at the door, toured me, explained her reasonable expectations (e.g. boots outside), and answered my questions. I helped set up the dinner tables and enjoyed a great dinner, met a number of other hikers, and had a pleasant sleep in an upstairs room with three beds (and was lucky enough to have it to myself). I rate Woods Hole up there with Hostel Around the Bend, Laughing Heart, Boots Off, and Angels Rest."
"I don’t think I can accurately describe how amazing this hostel is. After having a really bad day, I rolled in to Neville (the hostel owner) offering me a hot plate of delicious and wholesome vegetarian food AFTER dinner was already finished and cleaned up. Neville continuously went out of her way to make it a welcoming and healing experience for every single guest who stayed there. The hostel is as zero waste as possible as they have composting and recycling for just about everything and have an awesome focus on sustainability through water saving methods and organic, local farming. Neville offers free yoga and she sells delicious fresh fruit smoothies for a really great price point. The meals are all local and organic and she accommodates a variety of diets. It’s also a dry hostel which is great for people who need an environment away from the drinking/drug culture on trail. It also places the focus on music and art and community which is great! I definitely want to come back here after finishing the trail. This would make for such a great visit or even work stay! I absolutely recommend this beautiful place… you really don’t want to miss this experience and environment!"
"Absolutely amazing stay at Woods Hole. Never have I felt so at home away from home. Neville was a gracious host along with Happy Thoughts and a few other hard working employees. Our room was cozy and the food was spectacular. Thank you so much! We couldnt have asked for a better stay after a few hard weeks on the AT. I would highly recommend all Appalachian Trail hikers to take a night off at this beautiful farm. Make sure to try the cookie bars and coffee!! AMAZING!!!!"
