"Avoid this Bank at all costs. The Branch Manager "forgot" (purposefully) to send the replacement card we needed for a month. Then when an employee of hers offered an Expediated replacement as an apology, she called us 20min agter we left with attitude denying the second card ever exhisted and said we had to pay $50 to get the card. She is messed up. Downright ratchet. Avoid this Bank if you need dependable service for your business, or have self-respect."
"I have been with Synovus Bank since the 90's when it was called First nation Bank, I have always gotten Perfect service from the Branch manager, and the tellers as well. the small banking serves always get me.. I love it because they know who you are. they some times write out your slips they help you with problems if you need them. I have never experience any problems with my deposits my Husband switched to them as well. We Absolutely love them.. I really hate some people are have issues but I do wish you would give them another chance. We want bank any where else."
"Synovus has bad business practices in my opinion. They want to force you to open an account with them to cash a check written on an account from their own bank. Why? It's a scam to get money from people who don't want to bank with them personally. I realize it's just $5 but it's per check and just imagine how much they take in on any given day from non account holders. Banking regulators should put a stop to this. If I could post no stars I would."
"Recently visited this branch to open up a local checking account as all of my personal accounts are back home. Walked in, was met by a lovely Jamaican woman (it's a shame that I've forgotten her name), explained what I was wanting to do and provided very pleasant chit-chat until Jasmyne came and got me. Jasmyne spent a decent chunk of time talking with me, getting to know a little about me as well as what my current banking needs were. It was one of the most pleasant interactions that I've had with a banking professional in a long time. Her focus wasn't on attempting to sell me anything, but truly wanting to learn what I needed/wanted and how Synovus might be able to assist. Although this is still a new account, I'm envisioning that this is the start of a very positive relationship with Synovus. Ms. Mendes, thank you for your impeccable customer service and your purpose driven interaction. I see continued success in EVERYTHING you think, say, do, and touch."
"Synovus Branch located at 1981 Hwy 138, Conyers, GA Worst Customer Service Experience Ever! I'm the executor for my father's will and he's been a long time customer of Synovus Bank. He recently passed away and I've been trying to work with his bank to help me manage and oversee his financial matters, both prior to his death and now afterwards, and they have been completely useless. I found it extremely hard to get honest, straight forward answers. Various, strange, outside influences and activities were always happening on my father's account over a period of 3-4 months and no one could ever tell me why. Since I'm not a "banker", I relied completely on the bank's representative to know exactly what to do to position me for success; what legal documents to collect from me, the forms I needed to complete to gain access to my father's account, what access and privileges to grant me on my father's account, etc., etc. In the end, I find out the hard way after my father passed away that I was never formally/properly added to his account. The bank froze/shut-down his account without my authority nor knowledge and never afforded me the courtesy to let me know what was happening and why. Online payments I was trying to make to his mortgage lender were frozen and never processed. When I insisted the bank grant me access to my father's money, which would allow me to pay off any remaining balances and shut down his various personal accounts (i.e. cell phone, yard service, pest control, etc.), the representative told me: "My hands are tied, take it up with the Probate Court when you probate his will!". Need I say anything else about the customer service one can expect to receive from Synovus Bank!? From this day forward, I nor anyone in my family will ever bank with Synovus; I wouldn't trust them with a penny of our money. I'll also steer friends and other relationships within my broader network to stay completely clear of Synovus Bank."
