Steak 'n Shake

"Stopped here while traveling home. The overall space was clean and pleasant to sit in.. Ordering experience: You order through a self-service touch screen kiosk. The layout was easy to navigate and read. Customizing an order was simple. I ordered a double steak butter burger w/ bacon and a large fries. Sadly, I only received a single steak burger. I chose not to try to get this corrected, so I can't speak on how staff would have handled this. Everything was cooked at the time of ordering and came out hot, which means you could find yourself waiting 5-10mins for food to come out, depending on how busy it is. With the burger being a smash patty style, it means you don't get the heavy feeling a standard burger gives you. Overall, the burger was very easy to eat. The fries are a shoestring style fries with a nice crispy. The complete meal was satisfying. They had a soda machine that was self serve, but you needed to scan a QR code given at the time of ordering in order to activate the fountain portion. Ice was free. I do not know if it would be unlimited refills, as I did not try."

"What a waste. No service. You have to check yourself out now. The manager literally scolded me as if I worked here for my order being wrong. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Used to be packed. Totally dead in here. Your operation deserves whatever financial pain comes your way!!! Never again. Good luck!"

"5:55pm. 1st time eating at a Steak and Shake in years. Sadly disappointed. Kiosk ordering only. (I left a tip, thinking someone would bring food out to my table) I was going to give a cash tip to the server. (No server) you have to wait at the counter for them to call your name or number.( guy didn't want to yell out "daddy"! I guess. Lol. Had a butter burger, fries, drink. Burger was hot and juicy. Fries were cold. Place was dirty. Miss Lexie came in, and cleaned tables first thing. Thanks dear. Not the dining experience I was hoping for."

"Food was good , but really salty today. Customer service? There’s none !! Young people with bad attitudes work here and kiosk only to order !!! Music was so loud you could barely hear each other at the table!!! No way to have a relaxing meal here and take a decent break from the road ."

"The place does look a lot dirty but the food taste pretty good. For a place that looks like it only sell comfort food you can get a very delicious grill salad which I recommend to everybody if your looking to eat healthy. Just ask for no cheese in the salad. The service is not the best, the lady seems a bit sleepy but she is kind."
