"They use kiosks now... all servers/hostesses lost their jobs. We refuse to support a business that would fire all their servers and hostesses to replace them with machines. No more customer service. The cooks were irritated we spoke to them at all. Remember: where you spend your money tells the company you're ok with what they're doing. So, Steak 'N Shake, you have lost our business."

"Good taste gross. Fries were hard and then there is the fact that the back door by the bathroom that is supposed to be locked and says “ alarm will sound” was left open and people just going in and out. Bathrooms were gross"

"This is a good place to stop. It's not too far off the interstate. Lots of parking. Open until midnight. 50's themed. You're required to order on the kiosk inside. They serve real milk shakes, burgers and chicken tenders. It is not fast like other burger places, but they aren't as good as this place either! Clean."

"Alright folks, let me update you on how Steak n Shake works now. For starters, there are no waiters/waitress's anymore. You walk in and there are four touchscreen kiosks. You go to one of them and select what you want. It's rather pretty simple to do and it's a very large screen so it's easy to read. It's also easy to customize what you want. After you pay, which they accept cash, card, gpay, and apple pay. You then, if you got a beverage, walk over and grab your cup and fill it up yourself. If you got a shake, like my wife did, they'll bring it out to you. Came out before our food. After about a 5-8 minute wait, they called out our number on the receipt and we picked up the food. The food was fresh and tasted fantastic. If this is the future, then it's looking pretty bright. The prices for the food were pretty cheap when you compare it to other restaurants and I thought it was a good value personally."
