"The following is a very honest review of my experience with this establishment. I came here due to inflammation and joint pain on the left side of my face and neck that was caused by an injury that gradually got worse over the course of 5 years. The consultation is $250, the scan is about $700-$800. I was reluctant to pay for the rest of the $6,800 for the full treatment at first. They then offered me a soft lower splint for my bottom teeth which is basically just a fat rubber mouthpiece, I took a chance with it (when I asked them questions about it, they were very uncertain, said only 50% of patients react positively to it). I later consulted with 2 other TMJ specialists. I told them about the soft splint and their faces scrunched with confusion and they stated that you're not supposed to a have a soft splint for this kind of treatment, they also reacted funny when I told them the prices at Abeles. You are basically throwing away $250 by doing that, i highly advise against the soft splint. Also, the full cost of Abeles is about $8,000 for everything, there are other TMJ places in ATL that quoted me around $2-$4k for the same or at least similar treatment. They also don't tell you that you may need braces afterwards from their preferred orthodontist, no one else can do your braces but them, I've heard prices for that are in the $10-$20k range. The people are nice, but these prices are quite exorbitant especially since you cannot use insurance. Please note that I chose not to progress with the full treatment, so I have no input on that specifically, this is strictly informative based on what i actually experienced and had done."
