"We started working with Ken Reda in March/April time frame after our previous pool builder aqua Blue pools scammed us and many others. Knowing the sensitivity of this issue, we thought we could trust Ken and My Pool builders. We had the final phase which is completion of pebble done in June, we promptly paid them on June, 16, $8,935.60, they quickly cashed our check on June 17th. Come September, we received notice there was a lien placed on our home for failure to pay, Olympic Pools, we thought surely this was a mistake. After all, we trusted Ken and were friends. We immediately contacted him, all we got is sorry man, we will look into this and deflected to his partners, how convenient. We then reached out to them Barry Ferguson-CFO and Mike Byrne- CEO basically saying they sold the business due to finacial hardships and debt; so my pool builder’s is officially bankrupt. Now we are left with a Lien which we will contest. They willingly took our money and used it for something over than our project. Now a new owner Raja has taken over but he to refuses to do the right thing. I had to share so others are not put in this awful situation. They are not honorable men."

"Poor quality, and multiple issues during, and after installation. They applied the wrong pebbletec from what was selected. 10% of the overall project cost was installing tile and pebbletec. After a poor quality installation of a completely wrong pool pebbletec color, their "substantial discount" was just 2% of the overall project cost (even that was only after several requests). No planning means they will turn up whenever they want, to the property, with no planning or communication. It took several months to even get a cover for the autofill. We were told they would be coming to install the auto-fill cover only after they were already on their way to the property. We were not home at the time. Also, instead of just fixing the auto-fill cover and leaving as they had claimed, they started removing pavers and doing other work without any regard/knowledge of the landscaping work we had already done to fix their previous mess. So we then told them to not conduct any work on the property without us (the owners) present. This request apparently translates to "We will stop working completely". If you are not physically present to supervise every bit of the work, you will have lots of quality issues with this company. The overflow grate is not installed yet. No communication received from the company on if/when that will happen. There are pending issues including incorrectly graded pavers which causes water logging, the autofill system leaks underground and floods the lawn, and we STILL haven't received the warranty and documents for all the equipment and overall project. The last communication they said they would send it all over and when we asked when the autofill grate would be installed, they became unresponsive. We have mud, poly sand and pebbletec inside the filters because they did not cap pipes, and they tore up drains and damaged our driveway. This is even though we told them about it before they started. They said "this is normal" - but no other pool builder we spoke to does it this way. Bad planning meant they ruined the driveway, lawn (and did not fix), installed pipes incorrectly and had equipment running incorrectly for 3 weeks before they realized and corrected. An experienced pool builder will not cross-connect basic piping to equipment - most times they're learning on the job. They said "we will take care of the driveway damage and pressure wash at the end" - but that didn't happen either. There was plenty space in the cul-de-sac to park a truck for unloading. Several mornings we would hear a noise, come outside, just to see a truck already parked and unloading heavy material on the torn up lawn. Poor communication, planning, and they couldn't even tell us what to expect each day (in spite of multiple requests). We even have pictures of the pebbletec truck that was parked on the lawn. They also did not add salt to the pool (which is needed for the chlorinator to function). We learned about it from someone else and added it in ourselves. Will edit this review if we ever receive the documents and if they reach out to fix the issues."

"Called and spoke with Ken. Had a client moving to Walton County and wanted to see if they built in that area. Even though they do not build there at this time, Ken took the time to explain the pool building process, from the local authority approval process to how the build is done. We discussed options, time frames, and pool maintenance, after the build. Ken could not have been more friendly and informative. I will recommend them to all who ask. Thank You again for your time!"
