"My child was being bullied by another child on his basketball team. The coach was made aware, yet he did nothing. So, I called the rec department today, and the person I spoke with offered me a refund if I pulled my child from basketball. So, apparently, victim blaming works better for them, than addressing the real issue. The child's father called me after I got off the phone with the rec department, he was very kind, and understanding, but that doesn't excuse the rec center blaming the victim. My children have been playing sports here for 3 years, so this was extremely disappointing. I used to speak so highly of them."
"We love it here. The staff is great. Especially Brian Cleghorn . Anything you need he will do his best to get you taken care of. It's clean on the inside and outside. The conference rooms are great for family events and there's always something for the kids to do. On the outside of the building there's ball fields and playgrounds and a walking track which I do once a week. And it's close to town. Its the best community rec center. Always something fun to do. They also have a snack machine and a soda machine if you need a little pick me up. Great place for the entire family to come too."
"From 8 AM to 10AM weekdays, the gyms are a great place to walk for exercise, especially in weather of extreme temps or precipitation. At 10 AM the pickle ball players set up and play. In better weather, the track around the ball fields is good for walkers."
"Great, clean basketball courts. Just have some issues with having enough parking some days."
