The person I filed the request with was very professional yet friendly and concerned.An officer was dispatched and called me 31 minutes later with the good news that my friends were ok. "It is really sad how these officers treat people. The way they talk to people should be against the law. I never seen a group more unfit to be officers . They aren’t here to help us that is for sure."

"There's better assistance at the VA hospitals in Mexico. Called about registration for visitation and was first told to "go to the website" to register. So I went to the website for Columbia county jail where I found the I could go in person with a 24 hrs notice to the detainment center so I called and asked about that and was immediately met with stubborn arrogance of someone that was obviously not wanting to be helpful and say why their website is lying about their rules on visitation. Also, it is ONLY VIDEO now or so I am told. Not mad, just concerned about the misdirection and disinformation being put out combined with the utter neglect to help fix the the situation and the rude behavior of the staff. I took screenshots of their website but I can't find an option to upload them to the reviews here."

"One of my sons was here for 3 yrs, it’s jail so it’s not fun. But as his mother, the Desk Sargents , the med techs, the jailers, were kind to me. They kept my son alive (suicide watch is excellent ), They always treated me with sympathy & decency. And they never hesitated to find out & let me know what was happening with my son. In a strange way i will miss them. I knew my son was safe from himself and as much as could be, from others. God Bless them."

"I'm a little biased because I work here as a deputy, and supervise the inmates. It's a jail with southern charm if you can believe it, the atmosphere is very relaxed most of the time the inmates are allowed to smoke in this facility and helps keep them docile."
