Courtyard by Marriott Thomasville Downtown

"Horrible experience. The front desk staff is very rude and don’t even recognize you for being a Bonvoy member, all Marriott locations make it a priority to do that. Other than this, staff is not friendly or personable at all, very short and rude. Hotel has a nice lobby and nice restaurant. Also it is the nicest hotel in the area…. That’s pretty much what is going for it. I paid for a city view from my room and was blocked by a tree…picture is attached. Room was fairly clean but half the lights in the room didn’t even work. Very disappointed in Marriott with this hotel."

"If you have a service animal for a disability, STAY AWAY. This hotel discriminates against ADA regulations and service animals. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOU SAY. After 3 days into my 6 night stay, I was called In my room and notified I needed to vacate the hotel because they did not allow pets. I calmly explained to them that my dog was a service animal. They insisted that my service animal did not “qualify for the types of service animals they allow”. They asked me what services she provided, of which I explained. I was still denied. I asked for specific paperwork showing what qualified as a service animal for them and when I reached the second page I pointed out exactly what service I said my animal provided and they still denied my service animal and told me I had to vacate the hotel. They also tried to charge a pet fee, of which is illegal for service animals. I work in a medical facility where I cannot take my service animal into my job. The hotel general manager tried to tell me that I must have my service animal with me at all times 24 hours a day. If she knew the law, she would know THIS IS NOT TRUE. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY WITH A SERVICE ANIMAL.The staff is rude, not accommodating and literally called me a liar. Don’t let me forget to mention the girl at the front desk who thought she was the president or something. She was so rude and insisted that my service animal wasn’t allowed because other guest had allergies to a hypoallergenic dog. When I point-blank asked her if she had allergies, she said yes!!!! You can’t refuse a service animal due to allergies, especially with a hypoallergenic dog. The general manager has no sense of human decency, and should not be a general manager at any hotel at all. If this is the staff that you employ to run your hotel, you should be sorry. I am titanium elite with Marriott, and I have never experienced this kind of disrespect, especially calling me a liar and saying that my service dog doesn’t apply to regulations when it clearly does. Shame on you. STAY AWAY. RE : per the response from the owner, my service animal is not an emotional support animal. My service animal is a SERVICE ANIMAL and is recognized as such by the ADA, federal regulations AND the DOT. Your SERVICE ANIMALS will not be welcomed at this hotel as mine was not either. It is not a hotels judgement to classify what services are NECESSARY for someone, or deny them their rights to have their service animal. Shame, shame, shame."

"This is my honest review of this hotel in Thomasville GA. When you check in they gave me a clean room and told me there will not be cleaning every day only every other day. I thought is fine. I don't know the reason but in the last couple of months I noticed in many hotels they have adopted this and probably they are short of stuff who knows...now I expected they should have cleaned the room after 2 nights and Nope that did not happened. They only put clean towels. They did not vacuum or made the bed. So I called front desk and asked why is that my room did not get completely clean? The young lady said: since you are not staying 2 weeks you don't get a full service. It should only happen once a week. I was shocked by that answer. There is more: they will not make your bed if you left something on it like your pj's or anything at that point I was what is the point to book a Marriott hotel if they are not going to take care of you? They did not tell me about the rules they out in order to make your bed and never said anything about you only get a full cleaning service once a week! Marriott should advertise on their web site about these rules. Not happy with this and let ne tell you lots of people are looking for work here in GA so you should hire and get back to excellent hospitality. This picture shows my bed after 3 days they will just not do it not clean just bad. Just think twice if you are going to book again at Marriott hotel."

"Was surprised when I entered my room at the quality of the furniture. Thought I was in a remodeled Days Inn. Cheap. The internet was the speed of 30 years ago dial-up. There was no safe in the room for valuables. Great location and attractive but..."

"This place has it all! Great service, great rooms, great amenities and great location! From the front desk to the wide open lobby with plenty of comfortable furniture, lounge area with plenty of seats, outside patio, a pool area and conference rooms. To On-site Dining options-The Bistro for breakfast and dinner, full service bar, grab n go items and a coffee shop. Every area I just mentioned was well maintained, clean and comfy! The ENTIRE staff was very personable, attentive and incredibly friendly. A big shot out to everyone there!! Like the rest of the place, the rooms were also in excellent condition and super clean. Beds comfy, water pressure was perfect and there was plenty of work space. The room also came with a mini fridge and kuerig. The hotel is close to downtown and is only a 5 minute walk to all kinds of shops, boutiques and incredible eateries. The place is only a 10 minutes drive from the commercial shopping area. I could keep going with the review but I need to get back to work ... only complaints( and they scream 1st world problems), the TV remote only worked when it wanted to and there wasn't any ice cream/frozen treats in the lobby pantry. Highly recommend staying here"
