"BEWARE to all potential and previous clients!! Everything started out good, communication was good, UNTIL they received over 120k! Then everything just went downhill. They stopped calling, didn’t show up, Huge pile of trash and mess was left and has been there since January. Still have unfinished work that needs to be done and they will not call us back. Very poor workmanship, LOTS of pending issues, even received a letter that a lien was going to be placed on my house for a bill that Montego hadn’t paid! Would Not recommend this company or recommend payment upfront."

"Enjoying the spa 6 months later nand appreciate the quality of the installation once we got everything working. Some of the issues we had were out of the control of Montego. The issues were likely Covid delay related. March 21, 2203 Let me start with a new summary. The issues we had will still be in the review but I want to start with the bottom line and that is that the owner called me yesterday and said they had a replacement board and they would like to fix our spa. Given how upset I was with them, the call to make it right really impressed me. They came out today and replaced the bad board and helped with the new spa jets we had requested. So tonight our spa is in great working order. And it is a beautiful spa. It just needed to work, which it does now. Several of the issues we encountered had little to do with Montego. Responsiveness is something they can control, but maybe not as much as in normal non-COVID times. In any case, I raised their rating in our view to 3 stars because the owner showed his heart by asking if he could get the spa he made for us back working.. If it continues to work for the next year or two. All of the issues we have had will be forgotten, and we will just be dealing with the beautiful spa they created for us. This rating will be 4 or 5 stars. FIRST REVIEW They were late in getting their permit and had to finish the spa as the house was nearing completion. We did not make the selection on Montego, the builder did. The first issue was a leak. They found it and plugged it. Then the peppletec starting flaking off. Apparently they use a subcontractor for peppletec installation and they made him come back to redo his work. The contractor installed the cheapest spa jets and they are not controllable. I offered to pay to replace them and he said he would order them. That was more than a year ago. Then the controller board went out in early August 2022. I called and they said they had one and would swap it out. But they never came. The Pentair equipment has a 3 year warranty, so I called Pentair. They had no record of our equipment since it had never been registered. Pentair wanted an invoice showing what was purchased and the serial numbers. All we had was an invoice from the builder for the $53,000 for the spa that we had paid 18 months ago before the spa was completed. Montego found the original invoices apparently and uploaded them. Pentair sent another company out to swap the board. The spa has been un-usable and had to be drained because the water turned green without filtration. I have never been more disappointed in a company. It is an enormous black mark against our home builder who otherwise did a great job for us. He said he would not use them again either. NOTE ------------ In response to Montego Pools posting on our review. Attached are pictures of the spa jets we have on our spa. They are fixed and cannot be adjusted. I do not think they were manufactured by the company Montego referenced based on looking at their products at their website. We took these pictures after we had to drain the spa. Secondly, if Montego had come out after we reported the spa wasn't working and the display on the control board was blank indicating it was bad, we would never had written the review. Montego did not cause the board to fail. But when it did fail, the owner in a text said he would send someone out to replace it. No one ever came. It was several weeks after it failed before I called Pentair, and they said they had no record of our equipment. They have our equipment registered now. I don't fault Montego for the leaks and the peppletec flaking off. I don't fault Montego for the board failing. But you are judged based on how you handle things like this when they come up. While Pentair warranty said they were shipping a new board, we have not received it. The board failed on August 5th. It is now Sept 14 as I write this review. Our spa is still not working."

"RUN!! We were asked to remove our original negative review with the guarantee that repairs would be made. Eight weeks later Scott told us they would not make any repairs. The gas bowls leak gas and don’t work. The pool has a leak. The liner is the wrong size. The pool lights don’t work and the decking is caving in. TOTAL DISASTER!!! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!!"
