"Store was a little messy but I did find some great deals."
"Yesterday afternoon around 2:30 I went to return a gift I bought. I didn't have the receipt but the website said I could get an in-store credit for it. The young man at the register told me I couldn't return anything without a receipt. I told him what the website said. He repeated that I couldn't and showed me that the item would not scan without a receipt. I asked why the website would say I could return it.. He just shrugged like he couldn't care less. I went on and did some shopping. I came back to his register to check out ( he was the only one). He rang up my stuff with out saying a word to me, not even mentioning that there was a coupon on the receipt which all the cashiers do. I looked at the return policy on the back of the receipt and showed it to him. He acted like he still couldn't do it. I insisted and asked for the manager. Then he tried to see what he could do. Using my rewards number, which he had to ask for 3 times, he pulled up the transaction and was able to issue me a store credit, which he handed to me without a word. I know good help is hard to find, but this was crazy!"
"This is the second Big Lots to operate in this area, the first one having shut down some years back. This version is rather underwhelming even by Big Lots standards. It offers the usual jumble of random products you'd expect, half-heartedly organized. Service is less-than-impressive. In my experience, associates will not speak to you unless approached, and then will resent the question."
"I'd give it another star except I was looking for an outdoor couch that they only had the floor model for (not for sale). Instead of the staff saying " let me call or check the inventory from other local stores" I ended up doing the leg work and calling myself. Was able to purchase the outdoor furniture in the Fort Oglethorpe store. A little help on their end would have been appreciated."
"Big Lots. The store to AVOID. I came looking for pet supplies and I see something on a shelf I liked the price of. A small dog crate for $19.99 or under! I take it to the counter to check out and I am told it is $40. I tell them about the location of the product and they tell me they can NOT honor their mistake. I then came back to take a picture for review."
