"Went to check out another taco joint today. You order at the register as you walk in. The lady taking the order was friendly and helpful. She gave me a nice sized sample of their lime frozen margy. Takorea is a neighborhood eatery. Nothing fancy. One might say a little run down, but many times that’s where the best food is! It’s supposed to be a fusion between Mexican and Korean. I was intrigued!! I had a frozen (lime) margy and one pork and one beef Bulgogi taco (on flour tortilla)☹️I love spicy food (but I don’t like spicy just for the sake of eating something hot. The pork was so spicy that I couldn’t taste the meat at all. The Bulgogi tasted more like an overly salty pot roast. It didn’t taste at all like Bulgogi. It tasted more like what a foreigner might THINK it should taste like, but doesn’t actually have a clue. The tacos came with sesame fries (which were some of the best fries I’ve ever eaten! The margy was excellent, limey and tart! I’d recommend going there for the frozen margys (they have several different flavors) and the fries."
"We stopped at this place to try something different. The place is small but comfy inside. You order at the counter, and they are very helpful. We had the Bimbim Bop as it was on Food Network as a dish to try. My daughter enjoyed it. I had a Korean Chicken Taco and a Beef one. Both are very good. The fries are amazing, and dip them in the red sauce and wow! Dumplins were ok. Overall, it was a good place to eat."
"Some of the best easy going fusion food spots in the city. Went here for quick lunch and had the chicken taco, shrimp taco, sesame fries, Korean fried chicken burrito with kimch fried rice, and the pork dumplings. Their flavors go so well together, yummy!i"
