"I have never experiemced such blatant disrespect and witnessed such ignorance on display as I did at this store, Apart from the three young men, one being. Front end key holder or manager, the ridiculing, staring and pointing, smart aleck comments, would be grounds for possible termination following a probationary period, if I managed these individuals. I still intend to contact Calvin regarding this incident. If I have to drive half n hour further away, I will simply to never be pushed to point of tears for the only dress I had to wear that day for that occasion or for the wig I had to wear. Perhaps these inbred acting little punks need to be educated regarding possible reasons people wear wigs. Or they can grow up and worry about being less trashy at their jobs"
"Saturday, I went to purchase a money order. I was short changed twice, for one transaction. I counted My money twice. I handed her 7- $20 dollar bills. She tried to say I only gave her $120.00. I ask her to please recount it. I was in a wheelchair. She didn't lay the money on the counter in front of me to recount it. (So I could see it). I saw her shuffle it, to the side. She said I was short. I reluctantly handed her another $20 dollar bill. She handed me $1 dollar bill in change. I reminded her my total was $130.00, she at least owed me $10.00. She smirked at me and said No. I started to recount the $20.00 bills I had in my purse. She turned and walked away. I only had $20 dollar bills in my purse. I immediately called the store, (while I was still there), I asked for a Manager. An Asst Mgr, she said her name is Tammy. She and I spoke. She explained the lady had "a bad day". I ask her to view the camera's and count the money. She and the lady went to the office. The lady took the money drawer to the office. Later Tammy said she viewed $20s were placed and something was placed in the $10 dollar slot. Stated her camera's didn't pick up what was placed, in the $10 dollar slot. She asked could she count the money at the end of the shift and call me. I said yes. On my way home Tammy called, stated the till was .25 cents under. I was upset. I told her again, I only had $20 dollar bills in my purse. She said she didn't know what to do. The money order receipt said the clerks name is Savannah. Let me explain a little further, earlier in the morning I had been there Grocery Shopping. I used my United Healthcare U Card to pay for my Groceries. It stated my refund was $4.22. The cashier didn't want to refund that. I never said anything. The box boy yelled across the store to the Mgr that it said I was Owed this $4 from my U card. The Mgr told them to give me the change. Then Savannah walked over to open the drawer, the cashier told her, Savanah went and tried to stop this, Mgr told her to give the change. The cashier suggested they didn't owe me change I should just leave it?? I was embarrassed and Savannah handed me the change while "glaring at me". I don't understand how Food City's Ucard works. But I don't believe my ucard balance should just be left. That afternoon after going to Walmart for a Hair Appt. I tried to get a money order. But walmarts money order machine had been down since the night prior. That is why i had to return to Food City. I encourage Customers not to hand money to Savannah or anyone without counting it to them in their hands. And ask for them to count it back to you. Im Disabled, living with Conjestive Heart Failure, living on a very limited fixed income. Im out $29.00. Also, U Card customer's, do not leave your change. JUST Because cashiers feel they shouldn't give it to you. Thats your credit whether its merchandise or Money. Not to be put in anyones pockets. Food city needs to address this issue. Food city also needs to work on their Camera System."
"Always love my visits to Food City. There are a lot of great people there that go out of their way to help out. Today, a courtesy clerk saw I was getting a cart, helped me with it, and was very polite the whole time. Sadly, I didn't see his name. Although, if you go in the morning, there are not many courtesy clerks, so there are not many carts inside the store, which can be inconvenient. I always have a great experience with the deli staff and the cashiers I use. I am picky, so I have my cashiers I go to on the regular. The ones that have a welcoming attitude, which helps me greatly due to health issues. Thank you for a shopping experience without great hassle. Food City is my go to place. Thank you!!"
"This grocery store is the worst in the area IMO. Sometimes I feel like they get left overs from other stores. Everything we buy we have to be sure to check the date and examine the items thoroughly. You can walk through the store on any given day and find molded bread, pepperoni that is mildewed/moldy and has turned color. You can frequently find bacon and sausage that is so discolored that it isn't anywhere close to what it should be. The apple in the picture was just purchased the day I cut it open. We avoid buying our food here anymore unless it's a small purchase like drinks or something small. We now drive out of our way to Costco, Publix or Walmart."
