La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dothan

"This hotel is pretty nice. I was skeptical at first about their cleanliness but after I scoped out the scene I'd give them an 8/10 on cleanliness. Also, the rooms seem updated and all, (which is a beautiful thing) however, they could use a few touch ups, seems like a rush job on some areas of the room, especially near the ac/heat unit that's under the window. I enjoyed the stay overall though.. the bathroom was nice and clean (could use better soap but still good), toilet paper nice and soft, towels and face towels soft. The beds were perfect! Soft and so comfy (my favorite part of the room). The breakfast omg!! So good!! Make your own waffles and pancakes, they served fresh homemade biscuits with sausage and gravy!! My favorite!! They also had eggs and a blend of fried potatoes, squash, and peppers; sooooooo good! They also had yogurt, cereal, bagels and pastry's. Their coffee machine is running 24/7; I enjoyed the late night coffee, so good. They have fresh ice water available 24/7 as well; perfect for me because I love some good cold water. The staff was very very nice, helpful and respectful. The night shift front desk attendant, Abdul, is the best!! He was so helpful and kind every time we came in contact with him (we stayed 3 nights). I would definitely recommend this hotel and if we're ever in Dothan again needing a place to stay this is where we'll be!"

"Overall it was good for what it was. The first room they assigned me had a dirty bed quilt. I was immediately given another room. In addition, they don't tell you that you must call to have your room serviced."

"Decent stay for the price and limited options for last minute room in the area. Staff was overall friendly and helpful. Morning crew putting out breakfast redirected a per owner away from the food with their dog, which I appreciate. Breakfast included self made pancakes and waffles, scrambled eggs, gravy, biscuits and instant oatmeal and grits plus pastries and some fruit. Rooms were ok but a deep clean and renovation of them would make it better. Lots of construction on the circle and at the entrance but close to dining and shopping."

"If I could give it a 0 I would!! First of all, when your sent a confirmation that you have a king size bed, you should have a king size bed! I wonder who got my room? The entire hotel smelled horrible. They are definitely trying to mask some issues they have going on there…the room had a terrible odor as well. There was mold and mildew in the bathroom. The carpets in all the hallways had stains on it, bleach looking stains where you can tell they tried scrubbing on! There was nowhere else to stay in the area, we seriously thought about sleeping in our truck, hindsight, we wish we would have! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!"

"We’ve stayed here several times over the past few years with our large dog. They renovated all of the rooms last year which is nice, but they still have the window AC/heat units which are loud and the heat in ours didn’t work well and never shut off. They also use Dish satellite instead of cable so the TVs cut out often. The hotel is in a good location, serves a hot breakfast, and it’s mostly quiet and seems safe; we’ve never had any issues. We stay there because they accept large dogs, but we do miss the days of no charge for pets (now it’s $25 per night) and the nightly rates overall have went up since the renovation, but I guess that’s how it goes. Anyway, it’s a decent enough hotel if you land a good rate since the prices seem to fluctuate quite a bit."
