Reviews
"*Positives: • Clean, Updated Rooms • Accessible Rooms that are actually accessible friendly for the most part. • Smart TV & Free Wi-Fi • Tech friendly outlets • Dog Friendly • 10/10 walking for food/gas/etc • Staff is kind, respectful, patient and helpful • Decent Coffee in Lobby • Micro/Fridge in room • Spacious, efficient room layout • Well lit exterior with no issues with loud noises or other guests (stayed super bowl Sunday so was expecting there too be) • No bugs in sight *Negatives: • No hot/continental breakfast as promised on their official website • ADA rooms in back do NOT have easily accessible parking spots nearby or a ramp in the middle section, they do have them available on either end of the building. *Overall: The stay was actually amazing, had issues with Agoda (do not book with them). We got in at 2am and Brie was so nice and accommodating. Greg was also extremely patient and helpful in the morning, as was the maintenance director (I'm sorry I don't recall his name). The accessible room we were in may pose some issues with slipping if feet are wet outside of the bathroom, so be careful. Room was clean, no bugs (I check everywhere). All rooms are now smoke free, so no awful smell. Shower was actually nice with plenty of safety bars and an actual shower seat. We are absolutely going to be staying here again"
"I wasn't going to write a review but I will now since the general manager is childish and beta acting. I've stayed here before in other occasions which were good experiences. I stayed in room 163 on 1/17. First, I checked the room and sheets for cleanliness. I had hair all over my sheets so I asked for new ones instead of moving rooms because it was late. I didn't have any other issues until I took a shower and laid down. I noticed two big gaps under the door that was shining light in. It was really cold that night. I barricaded the door with the dirty sheets and moldy pillow that was on the bed. No problem. Then I woke up to roaches on the towels and on the bed. I spoke to some man and showed him pictures and told him my grievances. He then proceeded to ask me why I didn't switch rooms and said well the roaches are just trying to find somewhere warm which was an idiotic statement to even utter to a guest. He said he will waive the $5 check in fee for my next stay and have $5 off the room if I didn't book online. I just said ok and left but I didn't care for that offer so I called Agoda. Agoda only gave me $9 in Agoda cash which is also silly but I accepted it. I think people miss the expectations the guest has for a room. The room is expected to be clean with clean bedding, and clean towels, warm, cozy, and no pests. A guest shouldn't have to clean a room and change bedding themselves and do what you pay your housekeepers to do. Not to mention, the other rep before the GM told me that housekeeping doesn't really like going in the rooms to clean because they are scared of covid. A guest also shouldn't be banned from a hotel because they called Agoda because they didn't like how the general manager handled the situation. The note in my next booking literally said do not rent her another room because she called Agoda after we came up with a solution lol. Obviously we did not because I didn't come back to book another room that day. That was very beta male behavior to even get upset because I called Agoda. If you lead your business with your emotions you shouldn't be in business anyway. The behavior is laughable. So immature. If you can't handle your job, find another line of business. I have a right to call, write a review, and complain to whoever I want. You shouldn't have bad rooms with ROACHES and bad HOUSEKEEPING. Learn to manage your pest and your housekeeping instead of thinking you can manage your customers that's paying you. You should know how to make better offers than $10 for someone's inconveniences. According to other reviews this is not the first time you were told about roaches and now they are just spreading through the building. The back side and the front side. The place can be a nice place to stay if you get the right room but the GM is a little sensitive about a property they actually don't ironically care about. He didn't even express an apology. Don't waste your time talking to Agoda either because they just call the property and go along with whatever the property tells them because the customer service is based in Singapore. Call them to get your refund if you need to cancel. That is the only time they will give you your money back. I hope his boss or franchise checks these reviews and make him step down. He's a sorry excuse of a man and a manager."
"The woman at the front desk was awesome! She was very friendly and professional. The rooms aren't huge, but decent sized. Newly remodeled, clean and comfortable. Nice shower heat and pressure. But the floor needs a rug because it's freezing cold on the feet (even with thick slipper socks on).The only thing that really got to me negatively in a very bad way was seeing several cockroaches. More than several. They really need to exterminate. If not for that they'd have gotten 4 stars from us. The desk clerk is why I gave 3 stars instead of 1. Unfortunately we won't return because of the roaches."
"All I have to say is…. ROACHES, and that they charge you to check in. Yeah, they CHARGE you $5 just to check in. I’m assuming it’s because they know there are roaches. I checked in and got in my room (270) I was quickly impressed by how nice the room seemed. Went to bed and woke up to several roaches throughout the room. The nightstand, the headboard, the dresser. I felt absolutely disgusted and disturbed. Sad that a newly renovated space could also be so gross. I checked out and brought this up to the employee asking if they do anything about this. I know they have a strict refund policy (now I know why) but I figured I’d ask. He said “did you say anything last night?” My response was a chuckle because I made it very clear that I WOKE up to roaches. He said there was nothing they could do. Not surprised. I’ve never woken up to roaches before so this was shocking. I would not stay here. No no, just don’t. 1/10"
"Service was very nice, room was nice and clean. Wonderful water pressure. Rooms were newly remodeled and had nice tvs. . The one complaint I have is the location is.. less than satisfactory. It’s in a more sketchy area. And the toilet seat was interesting. There is food and a laundry mat right across the street. Overall, you can’t beat it for the price. Good stay if you’re in the area."
