"I never go here but Google constantly thinks I do. I actually visit the small public library in the old Gilead building. The property is connected to the park so Google is easily confused by this and for this reason thinks I'm at the park. As far as the library goes it is very convenient for us. We order books online and they are shipped to this branch ( if they don't have them ) and we pick them up here for convenience. The staff ( Kevin and Ron ) are always super friendly and polite and try to offer suggestions for my 9 year old based on popular books with kids. We will keep going there until there is a branch more convenient to the Macon Mall area. As for the actual park I haven't been in many, many years."
"Nice, pleasant homesome place to be. A great safe place to be at to watch some basketball, and watch the children play and I have fun. I really enjoyed myself and didn't want to leave the event. A wonderful spectacular recreation center. Everyone was so pleasant and courteous. Keep up the good work. A recreation center that will always remain a solid foundation.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
"The baseball area of the park is terribly neglected. The concession area and bathrooms are in bad shape and there was a lot of garbage on the ground. The people watching the games were very nice, it is a shame that they have such a poor park for baseball."
"I decided yesterday with great conscientiousness, to give my city's parks and recreations a visit or a try (if my family has never been to the location before). I actually presently live in this neighborhood for over two yrs now, and had never heard anyone say this is a place to go. I honestly, had forgotten it was here. So I told my kids we were going to park hop on Sunday afternoons to see what our city has to offer. See each park in it's present state. Filmore Thomas and this park were my first choices. We arrived at the park around 12-ish and there appeared to be a crowd getting ready for a gathering. People were playing ball on the court, playing music and setting up.The people were having a good time. The park was not spotless clean but it was okay. The park needs to seriously be updated. Are there slides to slide on? Yes. Are there swings for toddlers and older kids? Of course. Does this park inspire imaginative play for kids? Not in my opinion. It does not look inviting. I mean, sure you can come here and enjoy being outdoors and play basketball . Is this THE BEST Macon has to offer We The People of Bloomfield?? I am willing to bet it could definitely be better. It looks drab, everything is khaki and green, or in the words of my five yr old ""BORING!"". Under-stimulated minds leads to boredom and affects brain development. Does it fulfill the basic necessities for an afternoon of play? It does, however this in comparison is not the best Macon has to offer. The standards could be raised a bit."
