"Ivory was amazing!!! Came in bc my wheel was making a weird noise. Turns out I had a severely bad tire, and it could have shredded. I'm so happy I stopped. They checked it out, replaced the tire at a fair price (also came with lifetime balance and rotation), and had me out of there in no time. Ivory even helped me get my disabled husband in the car when we left. They have earned my loyalty."

"I’m torn to give Pep Boys Columbus, Ga. a one star review because of how nice and kind they were to me on each experience BUT they misdiagnosed my vehicle issue the first time and it cost me $1,000. Story time: On 09/27/2023 I brought my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan to Pep Boys in Columbus to have a check engine light diagnostic test done. After waiting for about two hours the worker called me to the counter and said that the codes coming up leads them to believe it’s the O2 sensors BUT when tested at that time they were working. So me being puzzled asked why the code then and he told me with that being the case that they a probably on the way out. He then explained that they turned the light off and if they came back on I’d need to bring the vehicle back and tell them I had already been there and the issue and they’d get me fixed. However, they didn’t charge me anything and cancelled my appointment in the computer because I received email letting me know they were sorry I couldn’t make my appointment. Well, the light did come back on and when I brought the van back in on 10/09/2023 they replaced my O2 sensors to the cost of $992.04. I must say Ivory was great and even gave me 10% off on the job because of me being a government employee. BUT before I could get back home that evening the light was back on. So, I turned around and went back to Columbus which is a 45 minute drive in itself and they kept the car overnight. So on 10/10/2023 I received the call that my issue was a stuck piston and that they were gonna try to use a solvent solution to get the piston unstuck or otherwise I’d need a new engine. Which is a $7,000+ cost. Needless to say I picked up the car Saturday 10/11/2023 and drove it home. They said they had done the solvent treatment in the oil and then did a fresh oil change which they did not charge me for. The engine light came on today 10/13/2023 again which means the solvent did not help get the piston to completely unfreeze according to what they told me before I left 10/11/2023. I did not drive the car much yesterday 10/12/2023 maybe 6 miles but driving it normally today the light did reappear. Like I said everyone there was amazing in their customer service skills but miss diagnosing an issue with my vehicle is why they are receiving the 1 star. Costing me at least $1,000 on something I didn’t need and potentially thousand(s) more because of the true issue not being caught in the first place. I don’t plan to return to Pep Boys in Columbus, Ga. regardless of how nice they are because right now I can not afford just to flush money down the drain for false or nonexistent issues."
