"I found this agency online of course after sifting through different properties and I booked a house called "Mermaid Lodge" with them in January for a few days at the end of March. I was a little skeptical of them due to a lack of reviews so I called the Gulf County Tourist Development Council to validate the legitimacy of the company. They told me they were indeed a licenced rental agency but that was the extent of their offering. So after mulling over it for a day or so I decided to give it a try. I booked the house with a deposit on the terms of the balance to be paid in full 30 days in advance. In the meantime, they posted on Facebook "#NewDeal! Get 25% OFF when you book one of our vacation rentals", so I called. The guy on the phone (Jordan) acted like he didn't even know what I was talking about. So he said, "I guess one of my TEAM members posted this, but it isn't available for your property" TRANSPARENCY is definitely lacking. Time passes on and I pay my balance in full. Fast Forward to this week. (10 days before I'm supposed to check in) They send an email notifying me that the property I'm trying to book has been pulled from their agency at the property owners choosing and the owner is unwilling to let them fulfill this reservation. IMO, something serious must have happened for them to pull the property on such short notice. They did refund me, after several unanswered emails, phone calls, and Facebook messages. I can not and will not recommend this agency for the following reasons: COMMUNICATION IS TERRIBLE. When you call 95% of the time it is an answering service. (I still have not received a phone call back regarding the cancellation) They do not seem to have an open office. You're at their mercy IMO. TRANSPARENCY. If you offer bookings with 25% off, why not fulfill them? If all properties aren't available, say so."

"We rented a beach front home through Sandy Shoes. The house we rented apparently had issues with the sub floor and they “called us” but they called the wrong number. I’m glad we called to see why our final payment didn’t go through or we wouldn’t have known until we showed up and had no where to stay. I don’t recommend this company at all."

"BEWARE - DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! We booked a house through Sandy Shoes in January for the week of July 4th, 2022. First, the communication from them is nonexistent. They will take your money, but not communicate any further than that. When we arrived at Shore Beats Workin’, the property was NOT as described. We also had multiple cleaning/maintenance issues and Sandy Shoes was not responsive. There were multiple others who had similar experiences with Sandy Shoes who contacted me through local Facebook groups."

"I worked with another property management company in the area when they were just getting started. I have a small cottage in Barrier Dunes. As the first company got bigger my little cottage did not meet their profile of luxury homes. It was disappointing to say the least that I was one of the first homes to support that property management company and then they just dropped my home as it no longer meant anything to them. Luckily a realtor turned me on to Sandy Shoes and boy am I happy they did! Not only was Sandy Shoes very responsive and respectful, they were able to procure much more rent for my little place. They always go over and above what is expected and do not nickel and dime you to death. They do things like change the AC filter each month and do not charge. I use a special polis/ cleaner for my wood floors. Initially, I sent some to them. When I thought it should have been long gone, I texted Jordan at Sandy Shoes to send some more. He had already bought some! You won't go wrong with Sandy Shoes Vacation Rentals!"

"We stayed with My Sandy Shoes the last two summers and are so glad we found them! They have the best prices period of anyone on the cape. We had a clean and well-equipped unit with everything we needed.There was a fully stocked kitchen for meals in on a budget, a beach wagon to cart our things to the beach, and even beach chairs. We felt right at home and are looking forward to returning for a third year in 2021!"
