"Lived nearby about 6 years now. Lovely park full of great folks, safe during the day. Robbed walking past a few nights ago, lots of folks coming in from outside the Chapel Hill community."
"Nice quiet park, especially to read. Would have left 5 stars had neighboring residents didn’t allow their large breed dogs to roam around instead of putting them on a leash to walk them. A German Shepherd (with a collar) was just prancing around terrorizing the parents/kids in the playground when I got up from the bench by the lake. I had to stand frozen for a couple minutes so it wouldn’t bother me."
"Nice little neighborhood park with a kids play area, workout area, walking trail and a lake that has a pier for fishing or rock skipping. Fairly new, opened in 2010 and has been maintained in good condition unlike some other Dekalb county parks."
"Nice place for the family there is a walking trail, place for kids to play. Fishing, fit course, picnic tables and grill under over hang. It has great fishing too.."
"Ok, so like this is a wonderful park with playground. Wide green open field good play equipments; however, it seems as though some of our attendees were not conscious or concerned about how nasty they left the play area. It was running over with trash, garbage, cigarettes, dog poop, among other things. There is a NO SMOKING sign, but yet I saw young people with nothing better to do than to be disobedient. It is rude that folks just up and want to smoke around children. Preemies go their too and are at higher risk. That was very inconsiderate. Don't get me wrong this is a very nice place for decent citizens to go with their young ones to enjoy the park. We enjoy the lake that goes around about 1/3 of the park with a paved walking trail and cool woodland. The park is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Unfortunately, the restrooms were just as filthy. All this place need is for people who care to clean up after themselves. But being able to just sit on the bench swings and watch the geese by the lake, taking in the calm, and playing with the children outweighs the few minor problems. We will return once it's cooler AND Cleaner! Hopefully those negative issues would have been rectified."
