"I used to go to Gabe's a lot when my sons were going to school but this is the first time I've been there in several months. When I walked in, the initial response was that the store itself looked clean and organized. There wasn't many employees on the floor but enough so that if I had a question, I could find someone for help. The shelves were slightly disorganized but the racks of clothes, the opposite. I was generally happy with the experience until I got in line to check out. There was a single line of people weaved through a last minute isle of "stuff" to purchase. By 'stuff' I mean everything under the sun. It was an array of chargers, speakers, potato chips, sodas, earbuds, etc etc etc.. it was chaos to even look but the 10+ people ahead of me did just that, holding the rest of us up from checking out. It was 20 minutes in that line until you come out the other end to two cashiers working frantically to get the people checked out before hysteria set in. I ended up setting the few things I wanted to purchase down on a shelf and exiting the store empty handed. I don't know that it's like that all the time, but how about I just don't take the chance. Hard pass. Thx."

"Look it's gabes. The place is a hot mess. The stock is just put in the general area of other things like it. But...... you can find some good deals. Just don't expect it to be target ok."

"I’m giving Gabe’s in Huntington 2 stars because the temperature inside that place in the spring and summer months is ridiculous! It’s always hot inside and they always say corporate is in charge of the temperature, there’s nothing they can do about it. So how do you expect people to shop for long to spend money if they can’t tolerate heat? I was sweating so bad I couldn’t try on clothes today. This is every summer. It’s nothing new. So how do we get a hold of corporate? Posted pic of the outrageous line that was all the way out to the main isles. Just to drip sweat a little more. What’s more concerning is you have your employees working in the hot building"

"The day I visited, they were stocking the shelves with tons of good brand names they had all types of clothing and other items. The prices were discounted and very affordable. The only downside to my visit was most of the staff was on the floor stocking and only one cashier with 20 customers in line. The manager saw this and just ignored the problem and took phone calls instead."
