"I needed my hair highlighted to get the black hair dye in the middle of my hair lifted. I had it dyed black & the bottom tips dyed blue 9 months prior. I felt Michael was experienced enough to handle my complicated hair issue. When i came in I had natural growth on top, black hair dye in the middle of my hair, & bleached ends. So it was a tricky task. He did an amazing job scheduling around my work. My hair turned out wonderful. "I travel for a living and visit a lot of salons across the US. Michael's Hair Studio is going on my list of top 10 salons to visit. I came in with a pretty bland, dressed-down cut that was not very flattering. My sister's wedding is next week and although the attention will be on her (as it should be!), I wanted to look my best as well! Michael's Hair Studio is a small barber shop with a single chair...a 100-ish year old barber's chair he bought in Detroit. Very cool! The shop may be small but it's clean and comfortable, with lots of cool decor. Michael is both fast and efficient. I left the cut up to him, and he softened my look and also gave me something that's easy to work with (I'm not one to spend hours on my looks). It's been a week since I got the cut and I'm able to easily style my hair myself. I'm satisfied with the whole experience and would recommend Michael's Hair Studio to anyone in Charleston!"
