"I am a new patient at Charleston Dental Associates. My experience by far has been the best. I went to a dentist in 2018 for an abscess extraction and was not a good visit. Prior to that I went to a dentist at 16 years old. This most recent experience has been and gone far more then I expected. I had for broken teeth removed on the 31st of January of 2024. The stress of having this done at the young age of 50 was way worse then it needed to be. Between the young lady that took care of me and the nurse, please forgive I do not remember their names at this point and time were very helpful in getting me to relax and change my mind on what procedure to go with. The young lady that took the time to provide a much needed deep cleaning on my upper teeth to find the good and strong teeth that could be kept, was amazing. Then came the day of the extractions, Dr. Shawn Ballard had eased my mind and mental warfare I was having to go through with it. I was expecting a timely day of being in the office because I wasn't sure how long it was really going to take. Give or take a couple of minutes, he was done and I was setting a new appointment and signing out in about or under 45 minutes total. I said all the above to say this now. I have been four days removed from that date, I have had no pain,bi have not had to take any pain meds from having the extractions completed. I look at it this way, if you can go to a dentist appointment, have four broken teeth removed, and leave pain free even after the novacaine has worn off, that my friends is a really great and wonderful dentist experience. So to Dr. Shawn Ballard and everyone at Charleston Dental Associates, I will see you soon enough and get my partial made and placed really soon. Have a Wonderful Day, until we see each other again. "Great experience I’ve been going here since 2020. I have anxiety going to the dentist in general from bad experiences at different places. I went 5 years without a cleaning before coming to Charleston dental associates just because I hated going to the dentist. They make it a positive experience, I don’t dread getting my teeth cleaned. Staff is so friendly, the ladies at the the front desk are so nice. All of the dentists are very nice. Autumn did my teeth cleaning today she was so gentle and did a very good job. She made me feel comfortable."
